Its a punt from Barca at next to no cost that he can come in and be better than likes of Depay/Jutgla/Braithwaite/LDJ etc.

He?s been next to terrible this season and even being better than some from that list is a question.

If it's cheap I don't care obviously.

Villarato!
As said in Morata thread, this is a no brainer.
Out of favour at Arsenal and could cost far less for short-term solution

Dont see why it didnt happen earlier TBH

Our presumed atttack for the season as of July: Messi, Griexmann, Fati, Dembele, Braithwaite, Aguero, Memphis

Our actual attack for the second half of the season: Ferran Torres, Braithwaite, Luuk de Jong, Adama Traore, Aubameyang, Memphis

Stunning turnover

That juxtaposition while funny to look at isnt actually that bad.
In fact Barca were always gonna be in similar position post-Messi and having a mixture of good short term deals with long term players (Ferran, Gavi, Pedri etc) while in such financial shambles is pretty decent

All the pre-season shite is Laporta bravado talking which gullible fans bought into real easy
Reality is frontline post-Messi may be hungrier, fitter physically and fitting better with one another than while Messi was still there and club still looking for ways to keep the legend and fit people around him than concentrating on building a new team

Terrible, he is almost useless and we have to shoulder 6 months of his wages.

Not a chance we agree to pay him 350k per week, which is what they are paying him. 50-50 or something like that with Arsenal, or if Auba agrees to cut his salary in half or more for these 6 months, that's the only way this deal is happening.

Not 50-50. More like 99-1. We haven't registered Adama yet, unless there will be exits we can only incorporate a tiny tiny wage. So he will have to take a wage cut himself if he wants to join.

Didn't he promise to his Grandfather that he will somewhen play for Real?

Well easy for him to say/think that 5 years ago. But Real didn't come for him, nor did any other club. From Dortmund he thought he would make the step up to the likes of Madrid, but didn't. Not even that, some would say he even made a step down when going to Arsenal, who were the only ones after him at that time. Barca is probably his last chance of a truly big club to play for in his career, even if it is only for 6 months. Beggars can't be choosers, that goes for us until the end of this season, and for Auba's whole remaining career. He is pretty much done at Arsenal, blacklisted by Arteta. Considering he was even entertaining a move to Al Hilal this month tells you everything you need to know about his willingless or more like desperation to get out or at least away from Arsenal for a while. And while Barca is far from world class right now, it's still night and day compared to going to the Saudi league, basically retiring at the age of 32.

Old Auba >>>>>> prime Morata

No comparison really between them.
Even for only 6 months I would rather have Auba any day of the week
