Mourinho changed football with his defensive tactics. It's ugly and boring, but effective. I honestly think that they could go on and win the CL.

Liverpool
Crystal Palace (A)
Newcastle (H)

Chelsea
Norwich (H)
Cardiff (A)

Manchester City
Everton (A)
Aston Villa (H)
West Ham (H)

How many of you guys think Everton will lose intentionally against City??
No. City will still have 2 more games after that, and neither game is a gimme.

Well, they play at home where they're 15-1-1, so I don't think they will lose points there - especially with the title on the line. So it's really all down to Everton tbh. If they win at Goodison, they win the title for sure. I don't see Liverpool bettering them in goal difference. :(

worst. team. 2014.

surely newcaslte this year are a lesson to all shit tier teams to hold on to their best player and not sell them off for just abit more cash in the pocket.

This as much as I don't want to see it, if they get by Atleti unfortunately I don't think Bayern/Madrid will be able to break them down defensively and will make a mistake and concede a goal.

Frankly find it really annoying when teams can't break the opposition down, and then blame the opponents for parking the bus. What do you expect them to do? play to your strengths? That's just ludicrous.

Fact is your team has severe shortcomings, and they do not have what it takes to break a team down that has literally handed you possession and said, "go on then, do what you can".

If you can't break a team down, you need to look at yourself, and your own game and not blame others.

Having said that, Mourinho is a hypocrite. He has no problem criticizing teams for playing dinosaur football (West Ham) and parking the bus, but has no problem doing it himself.

Also blame gerrard's slip on the bus park too because that lead to the opening goal and it was foolish to give away ball like that to a lonely striker with no further challenge except GK.

I am Leg End
My first post since Sunday.

Sunday afternoon/evening was the lowest I felt as a football supporter (in terms of on the pitch) since the 96 cup final. For the rest of that sunday and most of Monday it felt like something inside of me was ripped apart and was just left with an empty shell.

After a few beers on Monday and concentrating on work - as you do! - I feel much better and in a better mood. I also am of the opinion that this title IS NOT OVER YET!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'll congratulate Man City if they win all their games and win the title but until then it's game on.

More importantly though is that whatever happens and whatever people think (i.e. that we're going to be one season wonders) this is just the start for us and not the end. Our squad is one of the youngest in the league and can only get better. Brendan can only get better and the squad will improve. But I'm not giving up on this season just yet.

That's the spirit! :watch: Whatever happens it's still been a fantastic season for Liverpool. And the future is looking really exciting as well.
