Easy mistake to make. The Irish put more effort into finding English and Scottish players with Irish grannies than developing their own talent these days it seems.

What do you mean by 'these days.' We have been using the Granny rule since I was born, take a look at our 1990 and 1994 World Cup teams :party1:

Semi-Neutral

Sir Alupp Heynrguson
Liverpool XI - Jones, Toure, Skrtel, Sakho, Lucas, Henderson, Markovic, Coutinho, Gerrard, Lallana, Sterling
Arsenal XI - Szczesny, Debuchy, Mertesacker, Chambers, Gibbs, Flamini, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Cazorla, Alexis, Giroud, Welbeck

Let's go!

The money they have wasted is remarkable.

15 million pounds on Joe Allen?

Sakho 18 million

Borini 10 million

Balotelli 16 million

Downing 20 million

Lallana 25 million POUNDS! and he didn't even play in the biggest game of the their season so far

Liverpool is a perfect example of what bad management and lack of foresight can do to a absolute top club. In 1990 (the last time they won the league title) there was Liverpool and everyone else in England (almost). Nowadays Liverpool is more famous for being the laughing stock of rival fans.

I don't really support any club in England but Man City has the most attractive playing style in the PL and the most interesting players so I am rooting for them a bit.

Aston Villa is also a club that I want to do well for some strange reason as I have no ties to either England nor Birmingham. They are not exactly playing exciting football either.

10 years ago or so Arsenal was the most interesting team in the PL playing style wise IMO.

So much better to watch the PL now with Spanish/Swansea influence over past 5 years, best of both worlds now. Finally can watch a league with technical skill and not hoof ball. Palace might be only hoofers left.

So that's the Arsenal midfield which is apparently better than Barca's? Not impressed mate.

Coutinho! don't compare Arsenal to Barcelona, they are Barcelona-lite at best.
