Because they're a Premiership team. It's like when Newcastle & West Ham, everyone said the same thing, they don't deserve to go down because of the calibre of the club.
If it were Liverpool, Man U etc - hypothetically speaking, the same thing would be said if not more.

In Villa's circumstance, in your opinion they deserve to go down? Why because they got f'd over by Martin O'Neil and ever since he ditched them A DAY BEFORE THE LEAGUE STARTED, they have been struggling to pick up the pieces with a chairman that couldn't give a toss and has been choking the funds ever since, saying to get the wage bill down to every manager to walk in after the disgrace that MON imposed on the club. Not only that but bringing in youth & poor talent because of said wage bill. Yeah yeah, Villa DESERVE to go down, it's SOOOO simple now I see it, thanks!

Fml you sure know football aye. QPR, Burnley, Leicester, Hull, & Sunderland are the clubs that "deserve" to go down, or rather should. Not Villa, it's taken a massive turn of events for them to fall and it's a sorry sight to see happen in modern day football.

And nobody said that Newcastle didn't deserve to go down by the way, they said they're too big to go down. That is to say, a club their size shouldn't be getting relegated. But if you don't perform and you don't get the results then you deserve to get relegated. This really isn't a difficult concept.

Hopefully Man Utd are going to miss the CL but they are up against Arsenal, Southampton, Tottenham and Liverpool. Hardly world-beaters.
I think that Arsenal and Liverpool will take the two final CL spots.

Villa - Newcastle, two big clubs who both don't deserve to go down. And actually yes it was said;, again about those teams mentioned, they both didn't deserve to go down. You seem to be arguing for the sake of arguing, looking for a problem where there isn't one; Villa, Newcastle, West Ham etc, at their calibre and stature they shouldn't be going down - they are big clubs. It took an unfortunate turn of events for them to go down and in Villa's case potentially go down. If you can't read that's not my problem, you're talking about a different case so stop trying to look for an argument that's a different topic & concern which is unrelated to my post.
Maybe it's beyond your level of comprehension, but yeah congratulations for noticing those who perform poorly for whatever reason reside at the bottom end of a league resulting in them being relegated. Do you want a cookie Captain obvious? My point is it's not deserved of a big club being turned over for the unfortunate to happen. Can't believe I'm having to try spell this out. In terms of history the likes of Villa,West Ham and Newcastle are comparable but Newcastle are at a different level to Villa because they are the only club in the city and can pull 50K crowd every match....Villa on the other hand are suffering from dwindling attendances and will probably struggle 20k fans if they go down...
