Tim Krul.

I am watching 3 games at once. West-Ham-Chelsea and Espanyol-Athletic and Newcastle-Man Utd on the computer (streams).

Just saw Tim Krul gifting the victory to Man Utd. Embarrassing stuff.

Not sure what history has to do with "deserving" to go down or not...

If you got all As in high school, do you not deserve to get fail things in college?

Then do your research.

Look at the examples already, is it really difficult? NU, WH - two clubs that have recently been down but then back up, when they did go down the general feel was they'll be missed, i.e. didn't deserve, to go because of their prestige. Fml this really isn't difficult.

Trying to draw a comparison from an individual getting grades in education... shocking, truly shocking. Just a kid. Think it's evident that these parts of the board are a dwelling hole.

In terms of history the likes of Villa,West Ham and Newcastle are comparable but Newcastle are at a different level to Villa because they are the only club in the city and can pull 50K crowd every match....Villa on the other hand are suffering from dwindling attendances and will probably struggle 20k fans if they go down...

Compared right now, yes Newcastle are on a different level to Villa that is obvious. They are performing relatively well - mid table and just out of reach of the mix points wise. They came back up after promotion, had a good season then started to look a bit wobbly following seasons?

I thought it was obvious for "football fans" to notice the troubles that clubs can go through. Villa were regularly getting 38-42k a few years ago, however due to managerial & board decisions are they not in protest as well as staying away because of the on goings at the club?

How being the only club in the city has anything to do with being on a "different level" is beyond me so please enlighten me if you don't mind, or clarify if you would?

My bad right guys, let's focus on today & miss the point clearly

If you say they didn´t deserve to go down it just sounds totally wrong.A Club that didn´t get enough Points doesn´t deserve it to get relegated?
Of course they do.

Well being the only team in a the city gives you exclusive access to the local fan base even if you get relegated unlike villa who have to compete with West Brom and Birmingham...and you cannot use protest as an excuse for villa because Newcastle fans also have a frosty relationship with Mike Ashley but somehow manage to fill what is the 3rd biggest stadium in the league.....

Ashley Young is a beauty! Come on lads keep picking up these scrappy wins, feck the nice football just keep nicking wins and get us top 4.

And the difference between Rooney upfront and Falcao is huge, by far the better player is wazza.

Aston Villa are one of the most decorated English clubs. Only Man Utd, Liverpool, Arsenal and Everton have won more league titles. They also won a CL as the only English club alongside Liverpool, Man Utd, Chelsea and Nottingham Forest. I hope that the latter will return to the PL.

Aston Villa is obviously a bigger club than Newcastle based on history. That the latter have a bigger attendance is irrelevant here.

I too hope that Aston Villa will stay up although I don't follow any team in England.

What we lack is bit of chaos up front and it's no surprise our best chances come from players who fight for balls like Rooney and Fellaini....Still It was far from ideal performance and we're massive underdogs for top 4 spot but I'm hoping for tougher fixtures to motivate the likes of Di Maria because he's just going through the motions....

Yes, I understand that Aston Villa and Newcastle were really good/decorated in the past. That has nothing to do with whether they deserve to be relegated; based on their current season's performances, they deserve to go down.

Apparently Cisse and Evans are both going to be banned for 6 games for spitting at each other.....English media are blowing this thing way out of proportion and it's ridiculous that Racist comments and reckless tackles carry lesser sentences....:shakeshead:..I don't think we're going to miss him too much though but he was recently getting back to form(turning from shitty to average player)...
