What's with EPL teams starting to become possession styled one after another? Even Chelsea tried to play some kind of tik-tak shit today. Guardiolitis epidemic.

Because it's effective. However, you need the players who have the technical ability to execute it, and EPL has only started to get a critical mass of such players in recent years.

Lol so about 3 good games for United and he's turning into Vidal? Not that I'm saying he's a bad player, he was great for Everton.

Bit harsh, no matter who hes compared to. These 3 or 4 good games has been his only good games hes had at all for us. Before this he was considered for drinks stand vendor. I absolutely love Herrera, think hes everything Cleverley should of been, but its hard to choose between them.

Van persie on the other hand, GTFO  how is he still starting.

Van Gaal was an early influence over Guardiola, so as good as the latter is, his 'tika-taka' is in some ways a product of LVG's teaching. So United at least were always going to veer in that direction this season.

Er, because Wilson and Falcao aren't fully fit....oh, that and he's still a top striker when he wants to be. He kind of validated that with a pretty good performance topped with an amazing goal too.

Meh just dont think the goal made up for breaking down so many attacks or losing the ball countless games in a row, he would probably be starting over them too if they were fit. Everything improves when Wilson comes on, or Falcao like today

Just think he got a little carried away with his praise for Fellaini, wasn't trying to put down the player.

I'm actually glad Fellaini has found form. Good thing you guys didn't sell him eh? I think him finding his feet and putting together a string of good performances is more important to the side than a lot of people realise.

That's not the reason other teams are playing possession football.

So why did did Everton and Liverpool appoint our old managers, why do numerous managers and players cite us as a reference of what they are trying to achieve.

Apparently Wilson would have played had he been fit, probably at the expense of Van Persie. I do know what you mean to a certain extent, but he's still capable of world class moments and who knows, it might be a confidence thing rather than an actual decline due to age....Van Persie seems to think so going off his comments post match.
