Last seasons PL money...

This was before the £5 billion deal which starts next season.Plus you can add gate and sponsorship revenue on top of that. The teams that are relegated also get "parachute" payments of £62 million over 4 yrs I believe ?
It's a fucking lot !
How do people explain it? Most of the players aren't English, neither are the managers. Can't use the old "English are shit" excuse.
I think it has a lot to do with the English style & talent base, which can't be overcome by foreign managers.
What talent base? The players aren't English either for the most part. When Guardiola plays a mostly (or completely) foreign side with City and still doesn't dominate like he did in Spain and Germany, what will the excuses be then?

The best players at the best clubs aren't English, but many EPL rosters are laden with English players with a few foreigners mixed in. Further, Pep or no Pep, the best footballers come from South America and the Iberian Penensula + France & Germany. The EPL only has access to one of these talent bases, and Monaco and PSG are changing even that.
What r u saying in there affirmative tho?
How so?
France was the only country/region that EPL clubs could walk into and pick out the best talent without much competition. But now young French players are coming up with one of the worlds strongest clubs, giving them more attractive options to advance their careers than going to the UK. Now the Aurier's, Matuidi's, Rabiot's, Areola's, and Kurzawa's are staying in France rather than heading abroad as was often the case last decade.
