Only counting first teams...

Heynckes
has been a manager since 1979.

He has won the Bundesliga now 4 times. Champions League two times.

Mourinho has been a manager since 2000.

Won league titles 9 times for Porto, Chelsea, Inter and Real Madrid. He's won the Champions League two times.

Ancelotti has been a manager since 1995

Won only 4 league titles. Champions League three times.

Guardiola has been a manager since 2008

Won the league 7 times in his term with Barca, Bayern and City so far. Won the Champions League two times with Barcelona.

All these guys have had some ATG teams with vast resources, all have suffered humiliating defeats and low points in their careers. As you can see Pep is actually doing quite well and is very dominant given his trophy haul in such a short time.

People here really lack perspective sometimes and behave like scorned lovers. Pep got his flaws like everyone else, but the constant narrative trying to downplay his achievements and his position as one of the best managers in the sport is getting to a ridiculous point now.

The Champions League is NOT and I repeat NOT easy to win. The only reason Barcelona or Real Madrid fans desire one every year and might be more disappointed than anyone else is because Barca got Messi, arguably the greatest of all-time and Cristiano who's turned into a super clutch goalscoring machine in the Champions League.

If it was so easy then a legendary manager like Heynckes who's managed Bayern on two separate occasions, a Gladbach that was at their historic best and Real Madrid, would not have only won two titles in nearly four decades.

Short term memory like ones of goldfishes, entitlement, ungratefulness, the constant need to shit on people that dared leave this club to pursue a career elsewhere that you see with regularity here is just hilariously pathetic.

Edit: Looks like the wrong thread, but too lazy to post is there too so let it be. Saw Pep being mentioned here so assumed this was his thread were people were shitting over him like he's supposed to win 10 CL titles when Ancelotti whom people wank over has won three having been a manager for 13 more years lol.

Pep Guardiola inherited one of the best off all times team which had 2 greatest mid fielders of all time and the budding GOAT! Look at it this way, of his 7 league wins, 3 are by the aforementioned stars and 3 are free rides, again by inheriting a treble winners at that!!

As you provide the stats, Mourinho's achievements now seem much better than Guardiola's. He's only been around only 8 years more than Pep, started off with minnows - And wherever he has won significant things he built that team. And rarely has his teams been humiliated so much in the CL, yes he is a defensive manager and Guardiola an attacking one but he has also not gotten himself so many high profile transfer failures like Pep did

After Pep left Barcelona we lost 0-7 to Bayern and ended the next season trophyless with the very same players.

If it was such an easy ride then Ancelotti would not have gotten sacked this season where it looked like Bayern would lose the title and barely compete in the CL. Btw, last I checked they didn't even get to the semifinal with Mr. Champions League himself. Such an easy ride and a treble winning squad people expected Carletto would walk the CL with

Lucho won the treble too, then lost out in the CL the next season to an overrated Atletico and who can forget the humiliation last season despite the redemption 6-1 win. Why did not Lucho win more than one CL title with the greatest front three in the World with a Barcelona that invested huge sums in new players he brought in himself?

Oh, perhaps it's not so easy is it?

Porto were not minnows, they were actually the big winners in Portugal in the 90s before Mourinho took over, eating up Benfica's lead in league titles.

Inter were not minnows either, being pretty much the only relevant Italian team at that stage, and Chelsea had already gone through a major transformation investing a shitload amount of money in the club even when Ranieri was in charge of the team.

Mourinho's Man Utd just went out to a Sevilla team that is among the worst traveling teams in Europe, losing 4-0 to a struggling Celta this weekend.

His Chelsea went out to PSG despite being major favorites. Not huge scorelines, but going out as favorites by being dominated and playing pathetic, spineless football is bad enough itself.

How many high profile failures did he have? He wasn't in charge of transfers in Bayern.

The failures he had in Barcelona were obviously Chigrinsky, perhaps Henrique. I doubt he knew about Keirrison, Hleb maybe. Probably Zlatan in hindsight.

OTOH his transfers for Man City apart from Bravo have been pretty much on point, and Bravo was still a better goalkeeper than Joe Hart who's even worse.

The all-conquering Bayern vs an ageing team being managed by a guy who was terminally ill and unfortunately succumbed only a year later! Yeah good barometer there.

Trophy-less year is the one where an year older previously-ageing team lost out of the league on the last day to a non-existing goal! Bravo

The one where the star player misses a penalty. Followed by the same guy getting a non-existing red card in the second leg before conceding two offside goals - Again a spectacular failure by the manager!

Pep maybe over-rated does not equate to saying Pep is worse than Lucho. And oh btw the said Lucho only lost out on the third liga because of all the dubious decisions by the referees and a unneeded-stupid foul by an asshole of a player. Yes, the said player was signed in his regime but given the circumstances we needed what we could get with all the transfer ban and all

Funny how they were going through a dry spell and only got back to winning ways after Mourinho arrives but that's not given credit for!

Inter were not minnows either, being pretty much the only relevant Italian team at that stage, and Chelsea had already gone through a major transformation investing a shitload amount of money in the club even when Ranieri was in charge of the team.
Inter definitely were not minnows but it's not as much of a free ride league win as was Bayern's during Pep's time there. Just google bundesliga 2013-14 table, bundesliga 2014-15 table & bundesliga 2015-16 table.

That very same Sevilla almost gave a heart stroke to Barca not even a week ago! Funny you mention Celta but not acknowledge that they were playing a CL quarters and were midway when the mishap happened!!

Chigrinsky, Hleb, Zlatan (Now, you cannot use probably and hindsight here considering that he should have known not to go for a player who would never have suited his game style. If you wanna be so God damn arrogant about your style and not being flexible, just sign the players that would absolutely suit your style bro!), Alexis fucking Sanchez, Cesc Fabregas, opting out of signing Suarez sighting family reasons (never mind the fact that he didn't consider any such when it was Thiago Alcantara) were all his stupidity!

Pep inherited a big mess that Rijkaard left behind. There were a quite a bit of talented and some excellent players he had to work with, but as a team there was nothing left.

He made Messi the GOAT he became, he made Busquets and Piqué, Xavi and Iniesta peaked under and because of him. Henry played his only excellent season with Barça under him. Pep practically makes every player who is willing a lot better individually and tactically.

Yet he has his weaknesses, like finding the best means in certain KO matchups or against certain teams but while he also seems quite stubborn he is not a one dimensional as say Mourinho.

2-1 Newcastle - Arsenal 70'.

Arsenal doing their best to gift that Europa League quali spot to Burnley.

Newcastle, please hold on. I need some entertainment tonight.

Well, if Liverpool gets another great defender and a WC goalkeeper, I can see them challenging next year.

Anyway, congrats Pep. I think he could get a few in a row, with Liverpool being only serious contender. Tottenham needs a few more players, United has deluded Mourinho and overrated Pogba, Chelsea will be probably rebuilding next year (Hazard will go to Madrid, I think) and Arsenal will soon be out of top 6.

I respect United as a club, but man they are the biggest flops this season.

How do you spend so much money and yet not even come close to winning anything? Staggering.
