Liverpool always seems to find a way to win. Not always pretty, or dominant, but they have a tendency to get it done this season.

City on the other hand seem to win 8-0, 6-0 every other week only to drop points in some random away match or in a game they really should be winning.

This is reflected in the two club's CL records over the past two seasons.

But not in league records

Did you not see Norwich beat Man City 3-2 last week with 11 players injured?

Man City have been swatting just about everyone in the league for more than 2 years now. They are dropping points once every two months or so. My point is that PL hype over the extreme competitiveness of the league is misleading to say the least. The fact of the matter is that the PL is as top heavy as any other big league, maybe even more so (especially in the last two season, three if one counts the current one)

True, it's Liverpool or City, everyone else is a disaster. ManU, sucks balls.. Chelsea, disaster.. Arsenal same shit show every year. Tottenham, forever chokers.

It's two horse race. At least in Spain we have usually 3 teams fighting for it.

If Liverpool & Man City are far ahead of everyone else, then that is OK. My point is that Prem fans and pundits were taking potshots on every other big league (and LL especially) for not being as awesomely competitive as theirs. Where is their self-awareness now?

They don't want to admit.

Looking at Liverpool's match. It's pretty insane. They are not exactly playing well, but seem to get that lucky bounce.. It has to come to end at some point. It's been like this for a long time.

Far from unbeatable team.

Lucky? More like Sheffield were lucky not to lose by 3 or 4 goals. Liverpool forwards were all off-form. Mane and Salah both missed sitters that they'd have easily converted on any other day. Liverpool didn't put out the kind of performance that they are capable of. Not even close. They played an average game yet still managed to get the win. Funny that I seem to remember Manchester United getting all sorts of praise during the Fergie years for being able to do exactly that. "Mark of a title winning team", etc. etc. In any case, the fact of the matter is that luck happens all across the league table all the time, up and down. But over the course of a 38-game season, no mediocre team has ever, nor will ever, win a title based purely off luck.

Liverpool‘s win was deserved even though their goal itself was somewhat lucky. They created more than Sheffield and Salah missed some big chances. But their defence has also been quite shaky once more. Not even close to the level of last season.

City created in one half vs Everton as many clear chances as we created with Valverde in all our away games so far.
