Surely, they want a treble (because United has one) while having the best team in all of their history.

I think the fans might, but they're probably just happy at this point to end the league drought.

And I don't think Klopp and the players care about the treble because they don't like how all the domestic cup games are so compressed.

This Liverpool team has peaked as you would expect them to after 3 years.

Football cycles do really last 3 years dawg, whew!

17-18 - 4th place finish, CL final
18-19 - 2nd place finish, CL
19-20 - EPL, probably not the CL

1 CL, 1 PL doesn't seem like a good return for their best ever side. If they make it 2 CLs then that's very good. But I think they're gassed. The forward line in particular looks listless.

Liverpool miss Henderson. He has arguably been their best player this season.

They will still fancy their chances against Atletico to go through in CL.

Simeone might have exposed them lol. They're barely creating any chances. 3 goaless games in 4.

They are a different beast on Anfield though. Just like we are on Camp Nou. Camp Nou and Anfield are currently two of the biggest fortresses in Europe. Away teams are intimidated by the stadium and know what awaits them there.

I always thought this is either embellishment by Klopp or a flat out lie. Deep down they would chuck every trophy out the window if they could, go back home with that league just so every person in England stops taking the piss out of them for being 30 year losers.
They only don't realise that pumping it out like that to get a title just so they don't get bullied no more without long term ambitions makes it useless in terms of prestige.

Best ever PL side, but there best ever club side was probably in the early 80s.

Liverpool were not intimidated at Nou Camp last season. Even though they got beat 3-0 that was almost a freak result on balance of play and they were just as good if not better than Barca.

With the huge huge lead they have in the PL, I would have assumed they would have rested players in the PL and started players for the FA cup and CL.

I don't agree with this. They crumbled after being 1-0 down, meaning they must've felt some pressure. The match ended 3-0 and that's what matters in the end.

Liverpool never crumbled and should have almost immediately made it 1-1.

They over committed at 2-0/3-0 down when should have been content to play safer.

There is no way they were intimidated they looked the more confident side for majority of match and then probably were too confident in thinking could claw that game back.
