Last time he came to Barca, he had a young Messi who was top 3 of the Ballon d'Or that year, had EURO 2008 winners Xavi, Iniesta and Puyol, had legendary forwards in Henry and Eto'o, had a midfield tank in Yaya Toure, and had money to buy the world best RB, Dani Alves.

The situations are not comparable, and its not that easy to just take some B team players, and everything will work out. The only youngsters that got regular chances that season were Busi and Pique.

Also he didn't sell WC players, he sold past it players.

The standard of squad was night and day to what it is now and neither Deco or Ronaldinho were world class by that point.

Busquets played more as that first season went on and Pedro was barely involved all that much.
