Pep again back to overthinking stuff against a tactical simpleton team.
Also no idea why KdB is playing, he has been awful since his return from his latest injury.

Calm down lads. It's just one loss.

One loss, but this match is exactly how CL matches usually go. United carved them apart on every counter almost.

You have a team defending well and being sharp on the counter. And what do you do? You gift them a pen in the first minute to give them a lead to defend and possibly extend on the counter.

right. in the long term, as the evidence shows, peps approach tends to win leagues (fairly consistently--which is not to say always)
but one bad match in the CL against a counter attacking side and its done

Cancelo has been good for City this season but man he's playing like his Valencia days, totally brainless.

I don't think the likes of Jesus, Sterling, Gundogan, Mahrez, are quite sharp enough for a convincing CL win. They just seem a discount Barca with lower quality in every single position.

I'll be surprised if Guardiola does it this season.

Not that its good to lose, but securing the title too early isn't great either, it often causes complacency.

Great disappearing act by Sterling.

Serious question, are any of Sterling, Mahrez, and Jesus actually world-class?
