The guys who follow SPL can shed more light on this , but from what I'm reading Gerrard has been doing a great job at Rangers and him becoming manager of Liverpool was only a matter of time. These results might speed up the process though.

Matches like these is why City don't do well in the CL. Some extra intensity and they fuck it up characteristically. After Dahoud from Dortmund, another great candidate for Lenglet d'Or award for the most stupid penalty. Gabriel Jesus, lads, take a bow .

Hard to say how good Gerrard is doing at Rangers domestically because Celtic are their only competition and Lennon is not a top coach, but I have been really impressed with their results in Europe, he has really turned them into a competitive team at Europa League level and that is a good sign.

If Klopp leaves then Gerrard would be a good safe choice as he would get plenty of time from the fans to make it happen and I think he would do good job, but Klopp is an exceptional manager and Gerrard has a long way to go to prove he is in his League so whatever happens I think it will be a step down to for them in the short to medium term.

Pretty much all the top teams are shit this season and Bayern are still the favorites to win the CL even with their shambolic defense imo. City will find a way to crumble.

Pep has a

really lacklustre record against United

he also simply cannot deal with counter attacking sides. this is why he cant win the CL

Would be typical of Man U to win this. They love these type of big games. City on the other hand are more consistent over the entire season.
