After Messi refused city you see him posting bad about them while he praises psg all the time
City easily walk the league
Foden coming back , De bruyne coming back and sheikh transfering 178 Million to Spurs right now as I write
Lack of backbone, how?
4 straight QFs meltdowns and a CL final where they looked toothless and didn't score is hardly good returns on the European stage for investing 1 billion plus in their squad in the last few years.
The PLs are nice but ultimately he was brought to City to win CLs and he's failed so far.
This discussion have been conducted many times here.
Twice they lost to great teams (Liverpool, Chelsea)
Once should go down in the books as the most unlucky knockout tie should have been through (Spurs) with a ridiculous xG of 8 or so in both legs.
The only real meltdown was against Lyon.
So, no
Liverpool in 17/18 wasn't great. They were in 18/19, though.
Chelsea in 20/21 wasn't great.
They also had a meltdown versus Monaco that you don't mention.

Liverpool had won 5-0 against porto, 5-1 against city, 7-6 against roma before loosing to Real ( Liverpool was better until salah injury) -- If this wasnt great i dont know what great is.
man city beat liverpool in that title-deciding game in 18/19
They finished 4th in the league that season didn't they? With 75 points.
17/18 - Good
18/19 - Great
19/20 - Good
20/210 - Declining
