Saudi Arabia will want their team to be the best, at all costs.

Qatar and UAE are seen as small to them.

The EPL has its own financial fair play let alone UEFA.

They wont be able to spend the way Chelsea did in past and City. Particularly now when so much more money in the game and what it would take to go out and buy all the best players.

Fairly sure they said as much previously when were bidding that they wont throw money at it.. but could just be words.

Wait until Newcastle get Neom shirt sponsors for 500 million

Big 6 is a fallacy anyway, Spurs and Arsenal are terrible and have been for some time. Newcastle will definitely be muscling in on the actual strong clubs of England so United, Liverpool, Chelsea and City will now have a new contender to deal with. The Saudi's will spend big money and like City and Chelsea before them, they will be winning trophies within a few years after having gone 60 years without winning anything.

It will take more than a couple years of heavy investment for Newcastle to breach the top 4. With FFP they aren't at liberty to spend at will anyway, plus the consortium have gone on record to say it's going to be a gradual process.

Be more like spending 30-40 mill on players than 200 mill on Haaland, 150 mill on Mbappe etc which is already a huge improvement for them as the situation was pretty dire.

Think the training ground, academy etc is the first thing on their agenda to improve with some transfer business in January.

Despite both sides - City and Chelsea- only being one or two steps away from challenging for the title, taking those extra steps cost Manchester City around $500 million for their first title, and more than $1 billion more to build their current squad. After adjusting the amounts to account for inflation in transfer fees, Chelsea spent around $2.5 billion in transfer fees alone.

With almost an entire new squad needed at St. James Park, other Premier League sides will find it harder to sign top quality players from cash-strapped teams in the Bundesliga or La Liga.

If the Saudi-backed deal had gone through last year, that rebuilding process might have been cheaper, as they could’ve taken advantage of the pandemic to pick up some bargains from cash-strapped clubs in Europe. By next summer when they can really start to rebuild, prices will be starting to return to pre-pandemic levels and there will be fewer high-quality free agents available.

Newcastle can't possibly finish below this Watford team, or Norwich. They just need to finish above Burnley.
