What's the point of even having VAR in England?

Football was no worse without it.

Seems that it is selectively applied to certain decisions, which makes refereeing standards even worse, and causes even more inconsistency than there was prior...

3-1 City.. but I thought there would be clear clear day light between City and Brighton.. there wasn't.
