Still, contrary to other top managers, he takes a back step in many big games and plays counter football. The elite managers all play on the front foot almost, planning to dominate their opponent.

Klopp has played counter football a lot at Liverpool.

Real won the CL by giving up the ball a lot last season.

The reality is the top coaches want to be able to do both but in that United team who is he going to ask to dominate the ball?

They dont have those players to play like that all the time and against better sides.

Anthony's numbers were never good even at Ajax.

Soon people are going to start to get used to expecting less numbers from wingers compared to peak of Barca Messi and Madrid Cristiano Ronaldo era.

How much does someone like Mahrez score in a league season out of curiosity? And he's a particularly gifted finisher imo.

True. Neres put up far better numbers than him. Most Antony could muster was 17 g+a in 32 games in a league where Ajax was scoring for fun, never scored more than 9 league goals... Utd were fleeced. His dribbling numbers for Eredivisie standards were also poor, no wonder he is struggling to go past anyone in a top league.

Nah man this is the league where likes of Jahanbakhsh, Gakpo, Bergwin and Tadic put up absurd numbers... The level is just poor. Antony is not good enough, period

Antony slows ball down to much for my liking.

Seems like he too often wants to slow game down to get his head up rather than play on break.

Looks like he is waiting for a RB to go flying past him and lay it off.

Needs to be more direct and pass quicker or run at players when has space to do it.

Mahrez has 30+ in last season and a half. A few pens as well.
