Pep is the boss. He's shown that before, infamously with Zlatan.

If a player disrupts team atmosphere or challenges manager's decisions, he has to go. City especially can afford to act more strict given their financial power.

Barca did the same with Dembele, remember he was frozen for a while last January, was for put up for a minimal sale due to his contract refusal. Xavi was one of the few who showed faith and also Dembouz himself doesn't act like primadonna in general.

Players train with u-23's and reserves plenty when their attitude isn't up to it.

Better to have the option of having a player re-introduced and determined to show he should be playing than just give him to a direct rival at a critical point of the season in my opinion.

I highly doubt Bayern pay full price for him, already Salihamidzic talking about 'finding common solutions' as regard to a permanent transfer.

Rarely when they have the option to move them on

It serves no purpose to send Cancelo to stands rather than to Bayern here.

Once do that it is hard for a player to come back in and have that same trust.

If Cancelo stayed he would never have been stuck in stands anyway. Clubs dont do that despite what the clueless wants Barca to do with Dembele and punt him from club.

No one said Pep should stop being the boss

There are many ways to discipline a player, like the ones folk above have been mentioning.
You don't hand a quality player straight to a direct CL rival like that to show who is the boss

No comparison with Zlatan who was redundant and was making the best team ever worse.
This City needs Cancelo

Birdy thinks Barca should have paid off Dembele or 'sent him to stands' which would have gained nothing for anyone and just lost him as a player while paying him.

Same shite he said about FDJ.

Has not first idea how club will operate for its own advantage despite being educated on it time and again.

The irony is the likes of Dest could be 'sent to stand' if wouldnt leave as he is garbage and nothing left on sporting side.

But for top players that would improve you if dont leave then no it makes no sense.

Pep needs to change some players that got too complacent, about 3-4, not gonna be easy but that's the solution. Question is if he has the motivation to do a SAF rebuild and keep going for a decade at City.

OptaBirdy probably wants us to lose points while Dembele is out to continue the narrative of Barca being utterly helpless without Dembele. Of course, we are weaker without Dembele but not utterly helpless.

I think raphinha is gonna step up and score more. He is not gonna be as fun to watch as Dembele, but if he scores them when he has to, and makes good passes, that's plenty good.

He wanted Dembele gone a year ago to show who is boss at club.

Xavi handled it perfectly and got him back on side.

Birdy I have yet to see call something correct.

He has to as they cant use him as wide threat in way Dembele was.

Pass ball out wide to Raphinha and he cant go on outside and teams just double up on him.

Kounde will surely need to get forward more than with Dembele to give that outside run and open up space by occupying defenders.

Maybe will see FDJ as a double with Busi more and sitting to help cover both FBs getting forward. As in 2nd half v Betis.
