By that logic, can also argue last world cup wasn't a real world cup.

It still counts, on paper anyway.

Yea, it counts on paper, but fans know that CL wasn't quite the real thing. Not when German teams can start games earlier after lockdown than others. Even Leipzig did amazing after lockdown, not just Bayern. It is not a coincidence that German teams where in better physical shape.

Covid lockdown severely affected the outcome imo.

Should have been cancelled, that's for sure.

No different than last world cup either then, considering the corruption, the timing of it, and most of all, the horrible working conditions for the..."workers".

It was not anymore real of a world cup than covid UCL, but they count on paper, so it will always be in the history books.

They were always supposed to win a CL at some point. What matters is that Pep leaves the club. It's not the money that made them successful, it's Pep. If Pep leaves... they go back to being rich but nothing special.

This drop in motivation is excellent. Pep is gonna work to turn it around, but if he can't, he'll call it quits imo. Especially after winning CL.
Sadly, if he ain't gonna turn the situation around I see Madrid getting another CL trophy this season. Can't see any other team capable of knocking Madrid out at the moment.

What kind of Barca legend makes it a goal to never come back to the club that made him a world class manager?

I can't go over that. It is wrong on so many levels.
Even ZZ was willing to come back to a RM squad that wasn't as strong as his three-peat one.

I also have the same gripe about Pep. The Rosell bullshit is a convenient excuse. There's no Rosell around now, for instance. He could easily come to us this summer if he wanted to.

Strong coping

French league started by far the latest after lockdowns and their teams ended up doing second best.

EPL and La Liga teams had more than enough matches to get up to speed and then plenty of time to rest before the tournament started.
