If I was Laporta I would be telling him job is his if wants it and even if needs be he can have a role for first year that is more an overseeing of things and he chooses a team to coach that first season with Klopp on board as part of the transfer/stratgey side of it.

Just not sure Barca and board would ever give up what they would need to to be able to work with a top coach as they are all control freaks to the highest level.

Sometimes the heavens open up opportunities. This is one of them. But do we take it?

Smart in a way for Liverpool too. Xabi has given enough proof of concept, while Ancelotti has extended with Madrid. So good that they get in first with him. I believe Bayern are also interested in him, but surely he will find Liverpool the most desirable option.

Doesn't fit our usual profile. Also a nutter(in a good sense) that will probably clash with the board pretty quick.

Maybe if his family want some time in the sun, after Dortmund and Liverpool.

We don't need him. Small club manager.
Even if this is either trolling or a joke, there is some truth to it.

Dortmund are not an elite club. Liverpool kind of returned to the elite level under Klopp. But from an aura/politics perspective I feel Liverpool is not on the same level as clubs like Barca, Real, Man Utd, Juve, Bayern.

Knocking on the elite level door and even reaching it sometimes from a footballing performance perspective. Just not up there from a pressure on the manager perspective.
