Just seen Roy Keane offer a fan out in the cark park for the 'crime' of saying he is a better pundit than he is manager (missed it at the time).
Was any lie told? All these ex-Ferguson players have a very-narrow minded 'United in the 90s and 2000s is the only way' mindset, from Keane to Scholes, Hargreaves, Ferdinand, Phil Neville and - above all - Gary Neville. They view football through a very narrow Man United prism. They all have no tactical acumen, overrate the importance of 'fight and spirit' and are consistently proved spectacularly wrong on United. Plenty are also failed managers. They're a huge millstone around the club's neck with their constant chirping in the media.
Keane himself was an excellent player, but also a thug and an idiot who cannot keep his violence under control. He sometimes seems ok in some interviews, but you know anything could set him off. The guy is indeed an awful manager and a better pundit than coach (not that he's any good as a pundit).
All these violent, 'hardman' types are bullies who love to dish it out but cannot take it back. Keane slags off a multitude of players on Sky Sports, but can't handle someone criticising him for a change. Also, he tried to injure Alfie Haaland and injured himself in the process, then actually blamed Alfie for getting angry with him about it and then sought retribution years later.
The guy is toxic and should be allowed nowhere near the media, based not only on his utter cluelessness and idiocy, but his aggression too. Even people who like him think he's a joke character and only like seeing him because he tears into people and is always on the verge of attacking someone physically.
The guy is a reprobate. Which is a shame as I actually preferred him as a player to Scholes.
No doubt someone will quote this saying he's a 'character', as if being threatening and moody is something to behold.
