So? Barca won vs Madrid, Bayern, Dortmund. Biggest difference is Liverpool didn't lose as many points vs mid and bottom table sides. In the bigger games, both teams lost some points here and there.

So, the scheme you proposed is wrong. Liverpool do not struggle against top sides.

Barca's problems are a different topic.

Yeah, by all the posts you'd think Liverpool had won the treble.

But in reality they're just farming in a league where Forest is doing well.
The other "contenders" are all clowns self sabotaging.

I said they struggle a bit and they can be got at. It simply means some good teams got some good results against them and we can do the same should we face them.

Vs top 5 they have 1 win, 2 draws, and 1 loss, 5 out of 12 points. Hardly an impressive record.

Fabricating data now?

Vs top5 they have: 1 draw (Arsenal), 3 wins (Chelsea, City, Aston Villa)
Top record.

If you add Madrid in Europe, it's even better

City and Villa are outside of top 5 mate. Top 5 right now is Liverpool, Arsenal, Forrest, Chelsea and Newcastle.

You're basing it on last season? Last season City wasn't losing 4-0 at home to fecking Tottenham.

Forest won't be even in the top8 at the end of the season. and Newcastle won't be in the top5.
City Chelsea will certainly be in the top4, and the team with the highest chances for the 5th spot is Villa.

EPL found themselves an Atletico type. 3-0 Forrest. Excellent work this season so far.
The Atletico type in PL is Arsenal. Like the early (not only the early) Atletico under Simeone. Strong in defence, goals coming from set pieces or individual quality of the star player in attack (like Saka/Odegard for Arsenal now or Costa and later Griezmann for Atletico then).

I prefer to use the current actual ranking.

Irrelevant what you prefer to suit your agenda.
Forrest won't be there. City will be.

If or when City recover and start playing well, climb up in the table, and Liverpool beat them convincingly, it will be noted. Until then, Liverpool beat a midtable version of City in horrible form. I think currently Liverpool has a weaker record vs best 6 teams in the league than Newcastle. Actually it's the same. 2 wins, 2 draws, 1 loss. Liverpool's big lead is due to wasting very few points vs mid table and lower table clubs.

Newcastle keeps getting better and better this season. Leading at Arsenal away.

Isak is playing at a great level. Too bad he'd cost an arm and a leg.
