United in the second half of the first half have actually put together some nice moves. The Amad square across the box and Rashford miss were great moves. Let's hope it's a one-off and they revert to their usual selves.

United prefers to play park the bus style. When they have to take over games they struggle. This is kinda fitting for them, as long as City don't score first.

United has few good prospects but otherwise their lineup is weak. Way too many players who are past it's or just too low quality.

Yeah I know and I definitely agree. But now and then they have got further up the pitch (usually through luck than good build up play) and when they get into the final third Amad and Casemiro have linked up well.

But otherwise you're right and preaching to the choir. They're wank and rely on counter-attack football, which has a ceiling in modern football.

Yeah they will most likely struggle Vs weaker sides. This isn't team capable of domination.

They did make few nice combinations though.

And that comprises the bulk of their games - trying to break down 'smaller' teams. That's why they can't attain enough points. It's also why rashford has a far better record against big teams than small, as he thrives on the space high lines give him.

They're a team who don't have an identity, and seem to try to do 10 things at once or throughout a game. However, maybe once or twice a match they're capable of making a couple of great moves/combos as you say, and sometimes it works for them (the Mainoo goal in the FA Cup Final for example). Usually they're absolutely pish so it's always surprising when they put a few cohesive moves together. Normally they rely on luck or mistakes for their goals lol.

That team needs some serious rebuild. Yet Ten Hag tries to sign every ex Ajax player..
