De Ligt is basically Eric Dier but a bit younger. Dier looked good in the Bundesliga but became almost a bit of a meme in the Premier League. Not sure I would expect De Ligt to do great in England, especially trying to defend at United.

He can probably look okayish if United parks the bus but if they play high line with him, he will be in trouble. He lacks speed, pace and movement to play high line.

They are essentially signing better looking Maguire. Totally wrong profile to sign.
