Bayern too, Robben is a huge difference, and even if Ribery isn't in his best form, him not being there would still have made a difference. That said, credit to Barca still, you can only beat what's in front of you.

They also beat Barca and only lost 4-3 on aggregate. Much closer than the recent match up where Paris was missing 4-5 first team players.

You conveniently forget that they beat us without Silva or Ibra. For this (and many other) reason(s) I reject the notion that those two players can be so critical/decisive.

You also forget that in the first game vs PSG we did not have Suarez, clearly a far more decisive player to anything PSG can field. You also forget that Alves (in awesome form recently) missed that first leg vs PSG.

The fact of the matter is that once Suarez entered the team, and our team got going in both defense and attack, all big opponents we have faced have been dispatched with at least some room (and chances) to spare.

I do not disagree that Robben is obviously a big absence for BM, but still, even with their alleged best XI on the pitch, Bayern were held to a 0-0 draw by Shaktar Donetsk. I am sure that the Barca of the last few months can make a legitimate claim of being able to top that.

I didn't "conveniently" forget anything, as I didn't specify any individual player, but a group of first team players. If you're going to reject a notion, reject that which has actually been put forth.

You also forget that in the first game vs PSG we did not have Suarez, clearly a far more decisive player to anything PSG can field. You also forget that Alves (in awesome form recently) missed that first leg vs PSG.

Again, I did't forget anything, as my comments were clear: "I imagine that tie would have gone differently had Paris not been missing 4-5 first team players due to injury/suspension." The health or status of Barca's squad was never a question, for Paris it was. But, sure, perhaps Suarez would have tilted the group stage matches more heavily in Barca's favor?

The fact of the matter is that once Suarez entered the team, and our team got going in both defense and attack, all big opponents we have faced have been dispatched with at least some room (and chances) to spare.

We don't disagree here, but that has nothing to do with my comments.

Yeah Bayern aren't at their best anymore, they are past their peak, but missing players does take a bit of shine off the result but still, it's quite amazing, Barca didn't even look like having a chance of making the semi's 6 months ago.

Claude Makelele back to Paris Saint-Germain this summer? If the old Bastia coach has so far not mentioned the new, France Football announced that former midfielder could return to the flowchart of the Parisian club.

"He received a proposal from Nasser al-Khelaïfi to reintegrate into the PSG project. The President appreciates that he ended his playing career in Paris. (...) The idea from PSG is that he would be given a peripheral role around the professional group with support, in particular, the post-training . When he left, he would have negotiated a return in writing with Nasser al-Khelaïfi if his Corsican experiment goes wrong. Makelele also consider a head coach offer. But the temptation of a comeback for Maké to PSG is great on both sides ."

While the daily L'Equipe announced that PSG striker Edinson Cavani awaited the end of the season to talk with Nasser Al-Khelaifi, the meeting would have finally been held...

According to information from RMC , the two men spoke recently to discuss his situation. After two years of sacrifice as a winger, the Uruguayan international said he did not want to start a third season in that and claimed its desire to be front and center.

An interview in which the president of PSG has meant to his player who does not give good output following the constraints of Financial fair play and wants to make him the club's number 9 after the departure of Zlatan Ibrahimovic . Recall that Cavani has scored 53 goals in the Parisian jersey and he is two lengths included in the top 10 scorer.

Aware of the desires of his player, Laurent Blanc would consider a different system to associate with the Swedish peak. Signs that we have seen over the last two games against Nantes (0-2) and Guingamp (6-0) where Cavani has scored 4 goals in the position of striker. Remains to be seen if this has convinced El Matador.

Since July 2013, the departure of Leonardo , Paris Saint-Germain sporting director a research capable of having an address book therefore to attract big names or to do good business by finding young nuggets. Thiago Silva , Ibrahimovic , Verratti , Marquinhos ... The list of world-class players brought by former PSG player is long.
The position has been occupied since by Olivier Letang who brought Serge Aurier , Yohan Cabaye and David Luiz . The arrival of an athletic director is a major project according to Daniel Riolo, journalist for RMC, which announced in late April on twitter that the club would activate backstage: "I know they are on the stroke of a sporting director . It was time. We'll have it level and begins to work very quickly. I know that AS Monaco would love the job. But not sure that PSG like it ... " Sports director of the Monaco club is none other than Luis Campos former Paraguayan player whose name insistently in recent months towards the capital.
Luis Figo , former glory of Portuguese football, was also part of the tracks mentioned alongside Rai, Pauleta or Maldini, but he just deny the rumor in an interview with France Football which appears on Tuesday. "I know Nasser al-Khelaïfi well. But no, it's not true. " Hard to know if this is a maneuver to leave the Qataris work quietly or if the coming of the Portuguese has never been the order of the day.

It has been reported that Manchester City will no longer by under FFP, and will get to spend freely this summer. An absolute sham if true, almost insulting.

What u mean by free? U mean by FFP Restriction, FFP is still in charge , so still they cant go insane. For example they still cant buy pogba without selling players

Riolo has no insiders infos about PSG. Even he admitted himself during the Afterfoot radio show on RMC he's just giving his opinion.

For example he claimed Klopp will come to PSG. And then admitted that's what he would like and not an insider new.

In case of arrival of Paul Pogba, Marco Verratti could take position in front of the defense in place of his compatriot. A configuration already used by Laurent Blanc, despite some reluctance on the part of the Cevennes "Marco can play sentry. But it is rather a player who is coming to get the ball to initiate actions, even if it sometimes takes a lot of risks. This is not the best place to defense. Without a real number six at his side as Pirlo and Thiago Motta, he is in trouble, this is only my opinion, that's my opinion. Verratti, this is not a natural sentinel. "

Yet in this position, the Italian manages to talk his technical skills and his vision of the game, enough to put his team possess an uncanny ability to properly highlight the balloons. A real lethal weapon. In case of arrival of Paul Pogba could therefore well imagine a trio of international tricolor alongside Marco and Blaise Matuidi. A war machine.

Author of his best season in France, Javier Pastore should soon extend his contract for PSG. Announced the departure due to a possible arrival of Dani Alves, Gregory Van der Wiel should well remain aboard the ship Parisian next season.
