Quique Setien

Wish him all the best... I'm a little worried at the length of his contract, though... A year or year and a half would have been enough in my opinion...

Let's hope for the best now that the weasel is gone!

We can terminate his contract each summer for free.

It's a 6 months + 1 year + 1 year

I'm excited.
Our long term issues with the board are still there and that will remain the biggest problem but I hope Setién can revive us short term and give us a few good months to claim the La Liga title once again. Then see what happens in the summer.
It will be hard though. Difficult CB situation and no Suarez for him. Hopefully he will not crumble under the huge pressure at one of the biggest clubs in the world and prove his quality despite being sacked at Betis.

Anyway, excitement is finally back.

This, bar Mestalla, is a great run of games to arrive. If Valencia was the 5th one, it would be perfect.

You're comparing Real Madrid teams that gained 90+ points with the last couple of Madrid teams that couldn't even break 80.

Not to mention that this RM won 4 Cls in recent years, while RM's and AM's players during Pep's years were eating at McDonalds with 13 years old Dembele on nights of CL finals.

I know, during Pep, all teams in Spain were thr strongest ever.
While in Europe there was no Juve, and he lost every single duel against physical teams.

RM players during 3 of Pep's 4 years:

Prime CR7
Benz
Higuain
Ramos
Pepe
Casillas
Marcelo
Xabi Alonso
Ozil
Di Maria
Kaka

You're such a liar it's frankly sickening.

Oh and that 4th year (08/09), Pep had to beat SAF, CR7, Rooney, Tevez, Rio, Vidic, VDS, Evra, Scholes, Giggs to win something EV will only DREAM of.

Not the guy i wanted, but def a win scenario.

- Fraudverde finally told to fuck off.

- Setien will have half a season to gel with the team so he can hit the ground running from the very start next season.

- Hopefully he can set the seniors asses on fire. Either they work and start performing, or they get benched.

- If he also starts the seniors even tho they underperform, we still have elections 2021. There will be a new board in place with a new chief in town that will kick all the idiots out of this club and we most probably will get a squad overhaul.
