Rafael Leão

The dream Laporta signing. Marquee status, great dribbler, flashy on the eye, can really lift audiences

Then if you watch 3 AC Milan games in a row, you know he would be a disaster here: totally inconsistent (if you thought Dembele was, wait for this...), totally undisciplined (positionally and otherwise), lazy AF defensively.

Flick will have enough of him in a week or so

PS: Let alone that he would be the typical Laporta signing in an other manner:
overpaying him and Laporta's buddy Mendez in ridiculous wages and commissions.

NO THANKS

Either way we all know he's not coming and that's how it should be considering that we have Raphinha who is currently a lot better, so meaningless to talk of whether he would be a total disaster or not.

I do believe he will eventually have a wonderful season somewhere and a lot of people will change their opinions about him. Him and Conceicao seem to be a decent match so that could happen earlier than I thought.

If Coinceicao can turn him into disciplined and hard-working from undisciplined and lazy, then simply my respect for him will grow

I am a fan of the player but on balance, still should be Nico - Rafael is a similar player in respects but there are limitations he has where I would steer clear (complacency & wages)

I go back to chemistry on/off pitch, we’ve seen historically at this club that it is crucial for a successful attack. Lamine & Nico, it can be special

Nico simply cannot do what Leao does at his best.

It comes down to the question of the total cost and whether you believe you can get the best out of Leao consistently though.

But as players there's really no comparison. Nico is a good piece in a great collective. Leao is a match winner.

Fwiw I don't think we're in the position to sign either of them.

If you go by stat metrics alone, they are very comparable players but as I say upside with Nico remains bigger IMHO - if nothing else because of the chemistry with his Barca teammates already but moreover his work ethic (esp. on the defensive side of the ball)

Leao is great but I would prefer Nico and together with Lamine, I am convinced it would be superior to a potential pairing with Rafael - but here, it is simply my opinion

I think in June he will be a Barcelona player

Chemistry off the pitch can lead to Amigo culture again

No thanks
