Rafinha Alcantara

Hes very predicatable in the RW position.
Hes very onefooted and can only do one dribble, the turn to the left.
His crosses today were also really bad.

He was ok, but the least good of the Barcelona players.

the thing with Rafinha, he's flexible, even though i don't expect anything spectacular from him, but at least i dont shake my legs each time he receives the ball, because i'm almost certain he's not going to do a catastrophe with it.. he gives me that insurance . Same thing can't be said about Gomes, or even this new downgraded version of Rakitic. But if someone think that it's not enough i would also understand that. However, In those difficult circumstances we're having i'm more than satistied with him than i would with Denis, Arda, Gomes.

He really isn't that talented. Most of our midfielders aren't right now tbh but I appreciate it when they try giving their all. Rafinha wasn't good but he was running around and trying so much. Incredible work rate from him. Same goes for rakitic.

He fought for the team and close paces very well. Could have done better if a few positions but overall very good

Great point.

Just like Neymar, he can receive a ball very deep on the pitch, with his back to the opponent's side and also being pressured, that I still can be calm.

If we go forwards with Leo as a 10 and we don't spend big money on a winger, I would honestly much rather have Halilovic out there on the wing than Rafinha. Halilovic, if instructed correctly, would be able to do exactly what Rafinha is doing right now. Receiving it under moderate pressure, drift inwards and make the easy pass. The difference is that Halilovic, for all his flaws, can create. And he is improving, whereas Rafinha's development has come to a completely stop and honestly looks like it's gone backward since his Celta days. Probably mostly because of injuries, but yeah.

How about the defensive side of the game? Rafinha is a fighter and dies on the pitch for Barca, Halilovic is still a kid who needs to toughen up.

There's no reason why Halilovic won't be able to defend to the degree of what is expected of an average winger. He's doing it right now at Las Palmas. I agree that Rafinha is a fighter and that it he has actually won us a few important goals by interceptions and tackles this season. It makes sense to make that a criteria with our current system as there are a whole lot of defensive gaps we need to fill out by running the extra mile. Hopefully, though, we will have a lot healthier foundation in the system after the summer in which individual efforts won't be so exposed.

Halilovic on the RW? I could see BBZ's head exploding 10 mins into a match if that happens.

Let it go.

Halil's Barca career is most likely over unless he does something extraordinary in Las Palmas.

Compare Halil to someone like Ousmane Dembele in Dortmund. The latter is a really special talent with the brains and maturity to succeed too. Same age.

So the guy who's done best out of all our midfield signings/loanees brought back(IMO), might consider leaving.
