Wierder stuff than Thiago returning has gone down, no doubt, I just don't see it. Aside from his bro, he has no ties to Barcelona, and no reason to return. I honestly think the risk of him going to Los Merengues sometime in the future is greater than the possibility of returning to us.

I don't think that he will turn down the opportunity to play with his brother, if Rafinha manages to become a crucial member of the team. I'm still optimistic, but RM snatching him up seems just as plausible to be fair.

I don't understand the calculations made to reach the conclusion that Samper has a higher ceiling than Busquets. I havent seen him do anything to suggest such a thing, Busquets is better technically, defensively and is a better passer with a more expansive range, he's also older than samper is . Is samper an amazing ronaldinho/beckham esque free kick taker? Samper is about to come upon the age where Busquets sent Toure packing, but he's nowhere near good enough to bench busquets or mascherano yet.
And about Rafinha, his passing ability is insane and that cross to Munir was sublime, dribbling and shooting too, hope he keeps it up.

He's got a good two years or so before he comes upon that age, and when Busquets was Samper's age nobody thought he was anything special.
Not that I'm saying he has a higher ceiling or anything. I'd be happy if he just got to be as good someday.
True I shouldn't say he sent toure packing at 20 but he did break into the first team that year and he national team the year after. Not saying samper won't or that he isn't a great player in the making but this higher ceiling thing is just unnecessary hype. And it kind of seems like some are underestimating how good busi really is, he probably has the hardest job in the team, especially in previous years with our haphazard defense.

No it doesn't, specially since we have no say in the matter. I honestly wanted to know why people thought he did since I can't see anything to suggest that at age 26 he'll be a better player. But it doesnt matter so we don't really have to continue.
