Raheem Sterling

You guys really believe that Pep was bothered about Sterling he would have sold him to one of their two greatest threats ??

Sterling is a very talented and EFFECTIVE player. His finishing is subpar, but he offers so much else. Tons of pace and can beat his man. Decent vision. I rather have a player that knows how to get into scoring positions and scores 1/4 every few games than a player who doesnt offer nearly as much as a whole but has a better conversion rate.

He wanted to leave and that's the only reason Pep let him go.

I'll counter that with:

If Pep really wasn't bothered about Sterling, would he start the sheer amount of games he has under Pep?

Every cycle comes to an end. You have to freshen the squad up, players want new experiences. Pep is getting new forward players and will be integrating them. Grealish, Haaland, Alvarez, Foden will slowly take over.

In a year or two, the likes of Mahrez will leave too.

Just how Football works.

That is a fair take on things

Should of got Sterling instead of Ferran or waited til this summer and got him.

He will not score many for Chelsea as they play a different way and will only create a tenth of the chances he is used to .
He has had a few seasons of people like KDB , Bernardo Silva , Gudogan / Mahrez , Grealish and Foden constantly putting chances on a plate for him .
I would estimate 90% of his goals were tap-ins ...

How many you claiming he will score now not in a team for 'tap ins'?

Believe me I understand the inclination to dislike Sterling, but people have to be rational about this. He produces numbers where others don't. Scoring a load of tap-ins is a managers dream. You can't just pin all this on the service at City, or he wouldn't have been so important for Liverpool and England as well. I don't expect him to be a world-beater at Chelsea, but I do think that - injuries permitting - he will score more than 20 goals next season.

I was all for giving him a fair chance, and think he deserves a little more time, but I'll be honest and admit I'm worried considering he got worse over time, instead of better...even with Xavi's idiotic tactics of sticking him far out wide where he is at his worst.

Tuchel:

"Sterling is horrible to play against. Absolutely horrible. He was definitely our first choice by far for this position."

Gotta agree with Tuchel here. Sterling looks like the kinda player who'll be a nightmare to tackle with his combination of attributes.

Second best LW in the league behind Son for me.

Check out his first Chelsea goal ., running at the keeper he miscontrolled the ball then scuffed it , the ball bounced off the keeper onto Sterlings knee and bobbled into the net.

Wondrous
