Thanks Hamzah. I always thought he looked quality as Lyon, still think he can be a great striker but is just at the wrong club. Would be best at a club like Arsenal or United where the manager would really pay attention to him and help him develop as a player. Think Real will sell him if his poor form continues?

they have a habit of buying players with great potential and then selling them, and watching them do really well. so yeah i guess there is a chance.

He isn't as poor as when he was starting last season. I think he shows some signs of maturity, but still lacks confidence and the desire to compete with Higuain for the spot on the team. Otherwise Mourinho would be giving him more time than 10-20 minutes per game, excluding one game where he went on for 30 mins and didn't do bad and two starts where he gave weak performances. I really do not know what's up with him. I hope Mourinho gets into his head quicker than later otherwise we will have 1 confident striker choice which isn't good at all.

We don't have players in Castilla that are good enough to push themselves through the first team squad. Right now we lack depth upfront and if there was any decent striker, Morata, Joselu have been given chances and didn't deliver, then I guess we need to wait for them to go to Getafe and mature over the years. It's a good type of management though, because we get cash and ensure ourselves a backup in the future for relatively small money.
Lately there were no players coming out from Castilla to show their potential to be the backup or possible future force for Madrid. Parejo, Miguel Torres, Alberto Bueno and Mosquera are all decent or half-decent, in some cases not even that eg. Palanca, Acuna, but IMO they are definitely unsufficient options. Only Soldado and Negredo made it out and prove to be slightly better than average, but I don't believe they would be a good backup for Real right now.

Mata jumped ship and to be honest, as much as I hated him for doing so, he did the best thing for himself. Now he is a regular fixture for Valencia and is being called up to Spain.

Soldado's problem is that he isn't terrific with his feet, as in dribbling, and is a pure goal scorer, so when he is expected to defend with Madrid, he loses his edge. Although to me, if he just stays in the box, he'd score plenty for Madrid, especially headers.

He isn't a really deep player and we do not tend to play crossing game often. If he is one-dimensional there is no way he would suit Madrid's style which is basically individual efforts and quick through/long balls breaking offside trap.

That one's been bubbling around the Italian media for a month or so. I would be amused if it were to happen, tbh.

The new rumour in Italy involving a Real player is that Real are wanting to offload Pedro Leon, possibly to Milan or Juve.
