The Pale One
dude i think you got it wrong
we were talking about the luck madrid has in la liga since I can remember, there are many games where they score a winning goal in last 10 minutes. That has happened uncontable times not just this season. I'm not saying all of Madrid goals were pure luck

Yea it's annoying that they score in the last ten minutes to win it but it's just a coincidence that they always do, and it's unfair to attributed to luck it's really their merit for persevering.

Not a really good team, but a decent side which we didn't manage to beat last year, but did so this year even after they've made reinforcements to their striking force which means we ARE improving when it comes to comparisons with big teams, which means that we will be a tougher team to beat than if you would look at us in last, how long has it been ? 5-6 years ? And if we happen to draw or win against a better team, say Barca or a team we might meet in 1/8s or quarterfinals then it's not likely to be because of luck.

We might have gotten lucky with scoring goals against Milan, but nobody gave us all of the chances, we created them for ourselves. Technically, you could even argue that we didn't go through last year, because we were not lucky enough after Higuain hit that damn post. How would the landscape look like if we went through ? Don't want to imagine and can't be asked to either.

When you played Milan last year you did not have CR7 on board, and Casillas made two howlers in the first game.Milan have improved their offence but that mainly counts against weak Italian teams, with their defence(remember Silva was absent) and midfield they are more or less hopeless against strong opposition. Madrid were defo unlucky last year versus Lyon. Higuain's nerves cost qualifacation to the last 8,there is no doubt about that. But this year,Madrid have been lucky on more than one occasion and have won points out of it. There is nothing wrong with that,it is how football is. In general I would say that Madrid are a bit stronger than last year thanks mainly to the replacement of kaka with Oezil coupled with a slightly improved fitness. But as I tend to say in cases such as this, time is always the wisest.

Well, I think that argument wouldn't clear anything so let's just forget it ;)

Well, Pathetico is as likely to make us drop points at SB as Villa is not to be called offside in a game :)

But not to get cocky, I think they are still too unstable. They might take the game to us like they used to, but they won't do much more than that. Mou will figure them out.
