My Spanish is pretty poor but even I understood this: 'El presidente debe decidir ya si el Madrid es el Madrid o un equipo camorrista'.

Translation: 'The president (Perez) needs to decide if Madrid is Madrid or a camorrista (troublemaker, in a bad way. mafia overtones) team'.

(nb the camorra is the Naples mafia)

A great deal of Madridistas are fed up with him as well, who wouldn't be? The man has reduced the image of the club to dirt, and he isn't even winning anything. I went to the game with my friend who is a Madridista, his family are socios even. Even he was more than happy to joing into the chants of "Jose Mourinho! Hijo de puta!" near the end. They wont sack him yet though - which they should, but another season of not winning anything and embarrassing the club with this sort of nonsense should do it for him. Cunt.

Are you referring to the polls conducted by Marca and AS? If so I don't buy them, those hacks love him because he makes their jobs easy, and peddle a very positive line on him.

People who care about the club and football only aren't getting much from him though, no trophies, and their reputation in the gutter. Its more the latter part that surprises me with you to be honest, that you are happy for him to take that long built reputation and totally destroy it, in what? a year? I guess to show how far he has changed it (I know you say one man can't, but he has) - remember when Madrid did the guard of honour a few years ago? Contrast that to every one of Mourinho's Classico's ending in 10 or 9 men, brawls, and so much ill feeling. Its unrecognizable this club now.

Real haven't played Barca in all those game like the last 2 games.. it's a different approach and with or without Puyol it wouldn't make a huge difference ..

Not weird at all. When Xabi signed to MMAdrid he became pretty much a traitor of his people. Also with the invasion of portuguese there simply isn't any spanish options remaining. Sergio Ramos? that would never work. Gypsy simply doesn't have the brain or authority to get the job done.

intense pressing almost throughout the game, quicker, short ground passes (normally through the wings), and i believe better stamina (team been hitting the treadmill?)

i think madrid have definitely improved, but playing against a semi-fit barca is by no means a measuring stick of their capabilities throughout the season and in the upcoming classico's.
it could be that they gave absolutely 110% in these games and are completely shattered by the outcome, but you never know

Birdy, there were very specific changes especially for Messi but Messi is ridiculous.

Yea, I notice people keep saying Real are a fitter team than us all of a sudden, but what you have to consider is that they've been preparing for longer. No player can survive at barca if he can't last at least 70 minutes of constant running, it's just that we're a bit rusty right now so I don't really think they are fitter than us. Constant pressing and tracking back like Barca under gaurdiola requites the utmost amount of fitness, we are one of ,if not the fittest football team on the planet.

Mourinho is a polarizing figure. Some hardcore fans may very well be supportive, but others will be totally pissed off with him. He is also hurting the image of the club in the wider sense which could lead to problems in the longer term if the club wants to continue to grow their fanbase/revenue.

Real always have been fitter/stronger than Barcelona. Barcelona never has to run that much except in these last two games where our possession levels were lower than our norm
