Come again??? You really believe Real will splash out some 61m € for Javi Martínez, some 45-50m € for Lucas & some 40-50m € for Hazard??? Seriously???
I don't buy this going to happen...personally, i think the most likely scenario is, that Mourinho will buy like he did last summer...low profile, on the cheap and maybe with some future. So i expect several more Altintops or Carvalhos joining...going by the names of Drogba, Adebayor to name some
IMO, it should not be building around 1 player only!!! That player doesn't perform or is injured, you're whole system goes down the toilett. I think it should be more like building a connection between several players and work on having more alternatives than lust letting Di María & Cristiano run down the wings or hope on Özil not disappearing and a nice pass of him.
If we're being honest, Xabi is defeated from the role he has been forced to play over the last two seasons. His creativity, once his fulcrum on defense and offense, now sits backseat to Mourinho's tactics for him of pure defending. Xabi doesn't like it and it shows. He's only playing nice because he is winning, but that doesn't mean he will reach his true potential if he continues in that vein. His lack of intensity on the creative side isn't his fault, and all this cause for alarm from the Xabi's and Khedira's of this world is a self-inflicted wound, and due to that now you find yourself hoofing the ball forward for your greyhounds when Ozil or Kaka come up missing.
It used to be that Xabi would help provide much of that offensive spark just as much as defensive work, now he seems a shell of his former self. He plays as though he has a pair of handcuffs on. Real talk.
The funny thing about it is, Mourinho keeps playing him the same way and the creative burden gets worse on the Kaka's and the Ozil's. Partner Alonso with Khedira and it's just stone cold disaster and all you will get is defense. Unless the word gets sent down from Mou down to Karanka to allow Xabi to express his natural talents, he will keep on playing tense and disruptive football. With Mourinho choosing to defend against Bayern instead of going for the kill in the first leg, I don't anticipate anything changing here. It suits Mourinho too well, and as important as Xabi is to your system, he is below Mourinho in pecking order, so he'll have to suck it up and do what he's told.
