He is put for sale since May, since the first Clasico he fell out of favor and lost his spot for the duet of Pepe-Ramos.. now Varane -Albiol are first choice subs
to be honest he is old now i dont say that he wasnt good at his chelsea years but now hes finished propably

No Nolan you misunderstood the post , Villarreal will never have the means to compete simply because there isn't enough revenue ... i didn't praise those teams but i clearly stated they can float in la liga due to the fan base, city and the size of their stadium

and no you are completely wrong , Villarreal had debt close to 100 Million Euro which they paid through sale of players and Roig own pockets but left them again in a tight situation . You articles state their debts to the government taxes (external debts ) which is none now cause they paid them last year ..but every year they will sell to pay debts
here is this article about Roig selling his shares in the supermarket share to cover Villarreal debts for this season too
http://www.insidespanishfootball.com/roig-sells-sells-mercadona-shares-to-cover-club-debts/

For how long this will continue ? for a club like Villarreal the match day income cannot sustain them for good if they will compete for the first division..I'm all for clubs like Getafe and Villarreal concept but you want clubs like Rayo , Betis to follow suit cause they do have the fans backing ..

Well what Roig is doing is covering costs plus lost TV revenue from relegation...any club that is relegated will have that, and if anything by covering it personally instead of taking on external debt like other big clubs that have been relegated in recent years (Zaragoza and Betis being the most infamous offenders). If Villarreal is promoted within one year a lot of that cost will be covered.
Mercadona is after all one of the few businesses in Spain making money (http://azaharcom.wordpress.com/tag/mercadona/)

Villarreal is never going to have the financial means to have the potential profit that Valencia or Atletico have, but you are overestimating the value of other Spanish clubs. The country is in deep shit, Villarreal might be a small town but from what I've read the town has survived the economic situation better than most because the main industry (tile making) has moved to exports rather successfully, plus the area is not traditionally under Barca or Madrid support. The province main football club (Castellón), is a never-was, to the point that Castellón fans celebrated Villarreal's relegation as if they won a trophy.

It doesn't matter how much traditional fans Betis has, they can't pay their own players and their fans are unemployed.

The usual Daniel Levy , if Spurs doesn't conclude their transfer deals in the last day he gets insomnia for a year..

Sometimes i feel the bastard intentionally do so in order to keep the big money in the bank for 6 to 12 month and won't be asked by spurs fan to buy anyone due to the transfer period is over ..

I still love the bastard ...he know how to run the business (not a sports club )

So, resident madridistas, apart from Jesé, who should one keep an eye out for tonight for Castilla? Any interesting talents?

Well i would have advised several names but we loaned/Sold with option to buy/ most of them out for first division experience

So far the biggest name is Jese of course (sadly i don't see Morata playing tonight ) , Alex in the midfield

Anyhow the squad for tonight are :

Goalkeepers
Tomás Mejías & Pacheco
Defenders
Fabinho, Nacho, Mateos, Iván G. & Casado
Midfielders
Juanfran, Lucas, Omar, Mosquera, Álex, Denis, Borja & Quini
Forwards
Óscar Plano, Jesé & Rául de Tomás

The older Mateos moved to Greece , I can mention 10 names now on top of my head who scored tons for youth teams.. it's not enough
Jese could be real .. Raul could be a star but i wouldn't put his name now based on younger teams performance .. he just moved to Castilla from our Juve. A team so let's see

Something about Jese I didn't exactly like. Don't know what it is but I am hoping he'd make it to the senior team, though, look who is he up against.
