It was always going to be interesting to see how they perform now that they are defending champions, will they be able to maintain the same level of intensity as they did last season.

Last season they fought tooth and nail every match because they were hurting after Barca won 3 seasons in a row........

Villarato!
Didn't he say something along the lines of "it was handball, but I won't complain"?

He said he talked to the players after the game about the second goal and they told him it was a handball, and he listened to the people from the bench who told him that Coentrao was accused of saying something he did not say.

And he said he didn't talk to them anymore aside that, because he wants them to understand that it was more of a deserved defeat for Real than a deserved win for Getafe.

Barçapocalypse NOW!
Three games, no wins... Actually if it wasn't for Soldado's disallowed goal that'd be three defeats, but that's besides the point... Obviously it's still early in the season and nothing is said and done yet, however if we win on wednesday, Mou and the players might start to feel a little pressure, especially Cristiano since Messi has 4 goals already... Supercup final will be an interesting one indeed...

42 million euros seems few million steep but then again he was coming from Premiership where prices are extra inflated.
I think he'll do good under Mou and surrounded with better players than him as he's no leader and works better with less pressure.

Real Madrid has announce that it has signed a partnership agreement with Tottenham and reached agreement for the transfer of Luka Modric, subject to medical revision.

The Croatia player made 160 appearances for Totteham, scoring 17 goals, and moves for a fee thought to be worth, €35 million, plus another €7m in various add-ons.

Real Madrid president Florentino Perez Rodriguez added: "The strong relationship and affinity between our two clubs has resulted in the cementing of a longer-term partnership and the successful transfer of Luka Modric.

"We are delighted to welcome Luka and look forward to working closely with Tottenham in the coming years."

It was the case , a deserved defeat is the correct phrase

Can someone explain the partnership between Real and the Spurs? Is it an actual contract with certain agreements or just a commitment to do business in the future?
