Guti: "It takes more money to sign a foreigner"

Guti has expressed his disagreement with the recent loan signing of Essien, and the departure of Esteban Granero to the Premier League. "There are some things I just do not understand about football, and one of them is that Granero goes so that Essien can come here. Granero is much better than him, and is Spanish to boot", Guti wrote in one of the first messages on his new Twitter account.

The ex-Real Madrid player went on: "Nowadays the best players are Spanish, and it takes a lot more money to sign a foreign player, and I think that´s a real shame", he added. "Having Khedira, Granero, Xabi Alonso and Modric on board, if any of those four is unavailable, do we really need Lass or Essien? I don't think so - we do have the reserves".

Guti ended by saying "this is my opinion and what I really think. It doesn't mean to say I am right, but as always I say what I think".

Often times that is what I have also said about him, this time around though I agree with him.

They do need to research more though but it's the mirror..

What are the odds that RM lose points at Sanchez Pizjuan next weekend? It's always been a difficult venue for them (especially after an international break), but I've no idea how good/bad Sevilla are doing this season.

Nah, we'll be hungry to close down the gap between us. Remember that match in December after the 1-3? Only thing I'm worried about is Alonso's and Ozil's fitness. They played the full 90 minutes and they're very critical to our game. At least, unlike Di Maria, they didn't travel to another continent so no jet lag problems. And the three days before the match on Saturday should be enough time for rest.

You actually have a more difficult fixture. The smaller teams who aren't afraid to park the bus are more difficult than the attacking teams that leave exploitable spaces.
