Madrid don't seem to have a midfield at the moment. Ozil looks like he's aged 10 years since the summer and Alonso isn't playing well either. They just can't seem to control the midfield and either try long balls or attack from the wings. There's also very little protection for the defense. That entire midfield was piss-poor and also in the game against Getafe when it seemed like Madrid were playing with 5 attacking forwards.

Which is exactly why I hope Mourinho plays Modric in a 3-man midfield.

Modric still needs time to forge connections and understanding with his team-mates but with the way Ozil and the midfield are playing, Mourinho will have no choice but to make Modric a regular starter. Maybe drop one or two players to teach them a lesson.

Well Alonso played a full 180 minutes with the NT. Yeah, they weren't intense opponents but he could have been tired. I'm not sure about Khedira & Ozil, but I think they played the full 180 minutes as well. I hope today was more due to these matches and not their form dropping.

Alonso didn't play 180 minutes. He played 90 minutes. He wasn't tired. He just generally sucks when being pressed. That is all.

He didn't play the full 90 minutes against KSA and Georgia.. Might be mistaken.

But he seldom performs like this. And it wasn't only him, it was the greater portion of the team.

He didn't play against Saudi Arabia at all.

He was deliberately targeted and harrassed by Rakitic.

Higuain and Di Maria were tired.

Özil doesn't give a shit anymore. He's in the Ronaldinho category when it comes to off the pitch lifestyle. And a smoker.

Ronaldo simply sucks when he can't tap in the chances others create for him.

And Khedira is a donkey.

Long story short. :pep:

Hmm, I seriously thought he played against KSA.

Ozil needs some motivation. He's getting too comfortable in his spot. Maybe he needs to warm the bench a little.

Ronaldo sucks when he puts a lot of pressure on himself. How do you explain scoring 25 penalties in a row and then missing the most important penalty of the season against Bayern? You can't say he choked because he score a penalty against them almost an hour earlier. It's actually funny because he's the only one that's making him more and more frustrated.

And about Khedira

I haven't seen Xavi dribbling like that :mou:

I always felt that Real were at their best when they used their speed for counter-attacking football. With teams playing deep and asking Real to break them down, they just looked clueless at times in how to break down the opposing defense. It wasn't through a lack of effort. I always felt that Ozil was their most creative playmaker and when he isn't in form ,then it's really just long balls from Alonso or attacking through the wings. With Di Maria not having a good game and Cristiano marked well, they couldn't get much going from the wide areas and with Alonso harassed in the centre, Madrid looked out of ideas.

In fairness I don't think many were expecting Milan to challenge for the Spanish Primera title. But I guess your comparison is apt as they have about as much chance of winning it as Madrid do.

Milan are slow starters, actually Milan currently doing better than last year point wise. And you know Serie A isn't decided by two matches ;)

But on the other hand justice is served right, scumbags like Pepe, Ramos, CR deserve such laughable position in league.

No many were expecting at least you win a game at home.. so far you lost your two home games and against a promoted Sampdoria and Atlanta who just won their first points on your expense

... I think you could be the new Liverpool case of Serie A :mou:

Point wise yes.. but against who ? their first 3 games were against Lazio, Udinese & Napoli

this year against newly promoted Sampdoria & Atlanta .. both at home..big difference and it's their third game not second game

Yeah, and Madrid having spent 1 Billion on this squad which so far looks like an utter mess and is being outshone by newly promoted + bankrupt Depor, is very impressive.

Real Madrid, the Anzhi of Spain.

In Lucho we trust!
Jose is paying the price for trying to break up the Spanish contingent in Madrid, the players are just not having it and he has lost them completely. Going around blaming the players also won't help the situation, especially as he took all the praise for winning the league last year. The players have had enough of him, which explains why he doesn't hang around long in one club.

I wonder where he will go next? Not Utd as they have Pep, not City as they don't like the image he would bring to the club (the Arabs are only ever concerned about image, not reality), Chelski possibly but unlikely, Arsenal would not be the choice that springs to mind as they don't have the financial clout that he needs to buy teams but Wenger is not signing a new contract athat has under 2 years to run so you never know, Liverpool would have the history and fan base to be attractive and they do have money if forced to spend, I think it would be an attractive challenge for Jose or there is PSG of course, but who would want to hide in the French league? Not enough press coverage for the 'Only One'.

P.S. Spurs? Too much of a rivalry with his beloved Chelski fans and the same for QPR. Funny how possibly the most hated fans in the UK are the fans that adore him!
