Xabi<=Pirlo really

I reckon it's been a long time since u watched Pirlo ?, what u say was true but not since 2006 my friend..haven't you seen the Conf cup ? or any of Milan-Italy game ?
if it wasn't for De Rossi , Pirlo would be out of the national team ..
Pirlo is not capable as he used too , it's a shame but it's the truth

Common. Xabi more similar to Lass than to Xavi?

Xavi for me is an AM he is the attacking man of your midfield .. Xabi is not that guy he stay around the center and advance when needed
Xavi to Barca is what Kaka to Real this season .. Xabi protect the defense & control the central midfield and pass the ball he is as far from Xavi as it can get ..

come on Bojan both are totally different players in almost everything par the passing bit to some extent

I have, but look what he's surrounded by. He's a 30 year old surrounded by 35 year olds. I'm convinced he can recover his form if his teammates had half the qualities of Xabi's.
But based on form: yea Xabi beats Pirlo atm. My main point was that they're mostly the same type of player: a deep-lying playmaker.

What statement is that?

Here would be my combined Real/Barca team anyway:-

------------------------Casillas-------------------------

----Alves--------Pique-----------Ramos----------Maxwell----

-----------Xavi----------Yaya------------------Iniesta--------

--------Messi------------Higuain-----------------Ronaldo------

Yes they are the same type of players i agree although Xabi is more solid defensively without Gat man running like a mad dog at everyone attempting to pass the ball ..
Pirlo lost a lot this season when Rino was injured and they do need a major turnover but unless the man beside him are a copy of Rino i don't see Pirlo regaining his form..
2 players can do the role of Rino for Pirlo in the world.. De Rossi is one of them and Essien is the other one and maybe that's why Ancelotti wants him @ chelsea but Pirlo is so slow for the EPL IMHO

you won't keep djila to rotate with lass, he won't stand for it. you'll sell him (coz he won't be first choice for some reason).

lol @ better in every position.

you have a better keeper and a better DM.

otherwise, we're superior.

anyway it's a squad game and you're winning that battle, so eh, kind of a wash really.

Xavi is in no way an AM, he is a Central midfield, he goes deep to collect he ball and dictates the pass and tempo of our attack, its just that he is so good, he can go forward and provide 17 assist in a season, that's nothing like what kaka or Alonso who is basically a Dmed with good passing ability.

I hate Marcelo. Don't know why people rate him.
Because he's a really hard worker and offers loads in attack. Defensively he is a little erratic but he's quite competent. Overall he's a good squad player at the moment.

I'd probably rate Maxwell a little higher though because of his experience.

Fair enough, he's decent going forward. Other than that, he's average. Quite poor defensively. You see how ordinary he is when Madrid are under pressure and he's forced to sit back and defend.

Before Wardo or Beast leaps on me I'll admit that "shite" is a tad strong, Marcelo looks like a passable left winger but as a left back he's no great shakes. I'd rather have Abidal or Maxwell.

I like Marcelo a lot actually and he is key to Madrid for LB position in the same way Carlos was for them, though he is a long way off Carlos' level right now.
