Oh crap, UEFA asked Real to change the date for the Santiago Bernabeu trophy (25th ) due to Altetico Madrid-Pana CL game which will be played in Madrid.
Real had to re-schedule to the 24th which didn't suit Milan .. so instead we will play Rosenberg (Norway ) the only available team on that date

No baby genius it has nothing to do with our planning , It's about Atletico playing Pana in Madrid on the same day .. something that was scheduled last Friday due to the CL 4th round and since UEFA avoid 2 games played in the same city on the same day (something we see every week in the liga ) they asked Real to reschedule , since Milan will start early the league (WC schedule ) they couldn't agree on a different date.

But you've known that it was a possibility since May or June so it's fairly shambolic to take a "fingers crossed" approach.

It's not a fingers crossed approach .. we don't have anything to do with Atletico nor do we need to plan our schedule based on other CL team schedules that has nothing to do with us or the team we are playing especially in the 4th round and especially before the official season start for the liga .
the 25th of August is the annual SB trophy and memorial .. it's a friendly game in pre-seaosn UEFA are a bunch of idiots if they think Pana-Atletico will hold any importance or effect the peace in Madrid

Under orders from UEFA due to security reasons.. not our choice .. the Pre-season schedule was long announced before the CL kicked started ..

Based on who is playing Atletico ? impossible .. it's decided by the draw (please remember that so it's hardly a 25 % chances )

.. if it was a small team UEFA would never issue any warning, they count Pana as a big team and the Greeks can get crazy.. apart from that we have Atletico & Real playing in the same day in Madrid like zillion times... it's a fucking pre-season ffs we won't even have a full stadium .
we lost a great final pre-season game with Milan due to UEFA being a big pussy

Is it purely because of Pana then? I assumed it was just that the games coincided. Your matches are always kept apart both by LFP and UEFA just as happens with us and Espanyol.
