We're playing some ok football but i just find we're trying way too hard to play champagne-esq football. It could really back fire. I can easily see a decent team winning the ball and scoring on the counter.

Saying that, 1- Benzema. Through ball from a darting run by Marcelo across the 18 yard box. Controlled on the turn neatly by Benzema and shot low and hard to the keepers left from the pen spot. No chance.

Although he has just scored a neat goal, Benzema has trouble linking up in the build up play in and around the box. His passes never come off, and more often than not his ideas are different from that of his team mates. I think he should just stick to playing off the shoulder of the last defender.

Can we please sign Lassana Diarra forever? His performance today, although against a weak opponent has been stellar. What I love about him is his technical ability on the ball. He is really good with it. However I do not want to see him beat too many players especially against teams like Chelsea and such. The moment it doesn't go his way, we will concede a goal.

I know which is why I said I don't want to see him do those tricks on the ball often. But it also helps when you have a partner in DM, players playing closer to you, mobile ones who are capable of doing damage.

As long as there is solid communication, we shouldn't see Ramos or Diarra getting found out again.
