djila's injury :(:):(:) SUCH MIXED EMOTIONS! LEAVE REAL PLEASE!

the whole friendlies thing is shameful. those kuwait ones we did at the end of 05/06 (I think?) were ridiculous. the kazma one was okay for me because no first-teamers were involved, which negated the fatigue factor which the big argument against these things. can't believe real would do one and play first-teamers, though!

Canales in Madrid. Fee 6 mln Euro. Loan no longer than 2011.

poor boy.

his dad's shafted him for the coin.

The coin would mean moving to the EPL who offered a lot more than our 800 K a year ... bad effort belittling his choice have more effort & research next time

And Jerry he will stay on loan till 2011 .. Spanish players cannot move club in the same season if they represented their team in 5 games

I didn't get it from the Daily Mail. This transfer just fits with the way that Wenger does business and he has a track record. Arsenal have money to spend and could other a staight cash deal, Madrid will pay in installments. Wenger will get Cesc, Vela and Merida to talk to Canales to urge him to come. Who would Madrid get to act as a go between?

Canales's father will do the right thing by him and will look for a club that will develop him properly.

What are the terms of the bet then Gio?

I'm collecting the bet Alex :hooray:

told u .. Wenger was never able to compete with us.. he may have shown him prime examples of giving youth the chance but Real have old players who need to be replaced in his position unlike Arsenal who are still younger and it could stop his development ..

I'm surprised about Ruud. I know Perez has wanted to offload him for a while now, but I would have thought with Higuain injured and Benzema + Raul showing no scoring form, he would have been retained.

Ruud is injured all the time Sergio (and injured now for over 1.5 month since Alco tie in the liga ) , his knees can't take it anymore ..
he is still injured ...if he is fit & on form i'm sure he would be banging them left & right.. i guess his injuries are taking it's effect on his game time

I know he can't be rellied on for regular football or even a full 90 mins in a tight match. But still, it's one less option and thinning out the Madrid striking options which at this time are very limted as it is. I think he could of still been useful in a bench role, unlike Raul for example.

Are you going to signing anyone to come into the position, Gio?

the PL is more coin, for sure, but end of the day the kid needs to be moving to a top 6 club in the summer and then playing regularly. not joining real and going back to santander for a year or possibly two.

I don't think so Sergio, the original plan is to get Negredo back in the summer and with the current system of 1 striker we already have Higuain,Benzema & Raul .. 3 for 1 position.

Ruud is injured a lot lately so letting him recover somewhere else is better for him & the club considering his very high wages and lack of fitness to play even a single game .
( i think he was fit for just 3 weeks till now from day one of the season )

No i strongly disagree he is too young to move to a big club right away to be a sub , staying @ Racing for another year is the best option for his development ..

look @ Bojan for example , he would develop to his potential if he is playing @ another liga team cause he will be playing a lot more than those 15 minutes

it's not about being a sub.

he's good enough to start for sevilla or villarreal right now. maybe not valencia, but they could then offload silva for big money and start him. and I've not said he should move to us.

kid needs to progress, which he would at those clubs.

For 6m it's a canny move by Madrid and probably Racing as well given that they'll enjoy the services of the player for at least another season. Time to knock up a Canales voodoo doll.
