I don't think he is finished but i do believe some players need to get our famous treatment to fire them up .. they will be worse at first than improve (same for Higuain & Marcelo before ) , he was motivated in the Classico and he need that in the next few weeks as VDV is ready to play and Manu has showed before he has no problem benching stars .

If we fired Manu Pellegerini two month ago you would come here and be the first to say:

" oh look why didn't you give him more time , no manager can do miracles after 3 month with half a new team . You are making a big mistake by not giving the team manager enough stability "

I've already given my reasons in the RM thread: He should be sacked soon because Madrid still have options in both major trophies. Sacking him now would give time for the new manager to re-shape the squad before the CL knockout stage.

No, do not let him go there, he is being ignored quite well, no need for him to ruin another topic.

I believe our decision not to sack Manu is the correct decision that any knowledgeable(as in studied success stories of great teams - just to clarify i'm not calling you an idiot or anything ) football fan would agree with
Absolutely, there is no doubt that you will succeed, if not this season, next, if not next, the one after that. I think that the question is, can he handle the pressure? can Perez?

No mate , his continuity depend on the CL campaign.
Not only Perez would ask for his head but so is Valdano and 100 % of our fans

you got to have improvement over last seasons , especially when you have players like CR & Kaka

with regards to wenger turning down real last summer...if i remember right, wenger did explain in an interview why he turned down the offer. one reason being his loyality towards arsenal and the other, that in his opinion there are too many new players signed during that summer. this would make it near impossible to ensure any kind of title in the first year.

anyway, MARCA is already getting out the mourinho headlines and frontpage images  i don't want mourinho...he'll fail misserably with real IMO.

IMO, they shold stick with pellegrini. the lyon game was IMO the fault of the players. they were teethless and got run over by lyon. most of them had a very bad day and were extremly underperforming, like kaká, cristiano and higuain. no coach can win when his goal scorers don't score due to bad day syndrome.
having marcelo as LB certainly didn't help either as we could see in the first half. govou could have finished the game on his own, just by getting past marcelo. luckily, momo, albiol & ramos had a good game then.

Sacking a manager after 3 month for a crash out in copa del rey is absurd man

The reason is not the copa del rey crash out, that would be the excuse. The reason is because pelegrini hasn't shown the aptitude to turn results around (copa del rey), his plan B only seems to work on smaller teams, his play-style is non-existent when facing strong rivals (see milan, barcelona), he hasn't managed to out-smart any direct-rival.

The sensation i had when Madrid faced lyon was of a tactic-less team who's motto would be "one more goal than the rival", they had zero patience to work the ball into the box, had no solution to Lyon's pressure and, at the end, did not have any resource (other than individual plays) to score.

If Lyon maintains the same play style and manages to score, madrid will need 3 goals at bernabeu. If something doesn't change, I see Madrid getting knocked out like they've always had: 1 goal difference or away goal value.

With squad that Real have the should be able to preform at the highest level at all times regardless of what manager they have.
Honestly i don't see any difference to the way real played under Juande ramos the same direct style only now their looking 4 link up players more often which usually are Cristina and Kaka but the only problem is that some times the understanding is not there.Like agains't Lyon mid-week.Real continue to show that lack of midfield dominance which is needed to be able to win games convincingly, at times it as if the only person who's doing any work is Lass.

Higuain dissapears during games once in a while, Kaka has been underperforming all year and Cristiano always chokes when his team needs him the most.

Even than you cannot sack him cause a manager with a new team & new players require time for adaption and tactical construction
what you want is a video game scenario where your ideas is immediately applied by the team , in real life the idea is laughable
even Fabio Capello who is much greater and experienced than Manu took till December to start to get results and even in January we dropped so many points .
