higuain is trying to secure his place in the argies national team.

milito has been on fire this season and logically should start alongside messi - esp as he's a #9 who can hold the ball, which leo will find most useful. however if higgers is all pally pally with messi then maradona may stick with that partnership even though it's not the best possible one.

Analyzing Xabi performance i believe he wants his Gerrard , someone who can drop deep and carry the ball a true box to box midfielder...
Kaka used to have 3 players who destroy the midfield and give him the ball in the last quarter

that line can be carried by Granero partly but is he a box to box midfielder ? that's a role De La Red could have played efficiently

Kaka now drop to the left in RM formation which put further distance between Xabi and him and i think that's why you lot are not far off when you say lack of understanding but there is a big space between where Xabi should be and where Kaka stands in (probably why there was rumors for Cesc )

more over the best role for everyone is the 4-2-3-1 but it needs Xabi to stand up and do a box to box role which he did many times with Liverpool he is just so fucking lazy he wants someone else to carry this for him so far all he do is put up long passes for no one
other than that formation we are complimenting formations to carry both Kaka & CR.. needless to say we still need to figure out the Benzema-Higuain duet which failed (another problem for Manu and i think it's due to the similarity of their game )

really interesting thoughts...what players in your opionon could do that job in order to make that formation work, or better said, in order to make xabi alonso work better??? leaving out the obvious 2 (de la red & fábregas) and focus only on players that are already there or will/could join this summer or the next.

how about granero on the right (where he performs best) and VDV on the left???

VDV only position is an AM/SS at best. he is one dimensional and his position is to replace Kaka .

Lass can play the Gattuso if we switch to Milan formation but the fact remains we cannot play like Milan because we have Cristiano Ronaldo without a role

the best bet is the 4-2-3-1 and it's not a matter of getting a player for Xabi to play.. i mean he is lazy enough to do we have to make him more lazy ?

he need to get his ass kicked and pull his shit together he already played as box to box with Liverpool he is just too lazy to do his job ..
we don't need another player we need Xabi to play as Xabi and leave Momo Diarra or Lass Diarra to pick the ball and give it to him
he needs better coaching
Granero can in time and based on improvement do a very good job i would have played De La Red beside Xabi & Lass as i said but once again the problem is Xabi not the formation & not the players
