They should have never bought Kaká. Robben was a better winger, that's for sure, and VDV and Gutí are better playmakers. There was no need for Kaká at all. He's not even a dominant player, a leader on the pitch. This match, he again showed he's hardly ever decisive in important matches.

i disagree...if someone - i'm talking in general - watched the whole season till now and seriously expected kaká to be decisive tonight, he or she needs serious help!!! you just can't put all your hopes on a player that hasn't found consistancy in his new team, nore his place/role in that new team.

if you want to blame some buy, blame the one of benzema. pérez & valdano did a great job at the back and in the midfield, but they completely fucked up the striker departement. it's a joke. all the hopes are lying on higuain, with the alternatives being a too old raul and an overrated, non real madrid material benzema. you just can't expect that kid (higuain) to shoot real all through the CL as the only main striker.

No Nando .. Higuain is to blame tonight
he had a great chance to score and missed it .. also the second shot there was CR on the right side he could have passed .

Higuain success gone to his head and he deserve some ass kicking to get back to reality
if Kaka deserve a chance so is Benzema .. i don't think the Brazilian done more than the Frenchman to be excluded from the critics , maybe if Benzema played as much as Kaka he would find form

Perez is not involved in the club at all this season

AS poll : who is responsible for the defeat

1- Players 47 %
2- Pellegrini 25 %
3 - Perez 22 %
4- Valdano 6%

It's not the players fault that they play against weak opposition weak every weak, even the Spanish correspondent on the Guardian podcast said all the teams in the Spanish league apart from Barcelona and Real Madrid are rubbish. Real Madrid have some good players like Alonso and Ronaldo who are proven in the EPL, but in the Champions league they are forced to play at much high level then they are used to.

The beast said "EPL has become weaker that small teams are now capable of getting points from the big boys"; well Man U and Arsenal won 4-0 and 5-0 repectively, while Real Madrid are knocked out once again.

So clearly no matter how money they spend Real Madrid will continue to struggle in the Champions league, unless the other teams in the Spanish league can actually make them battle hardened by giving tough games week in week out.

He is a great team player but not tonight , it's normal he is still a kid and he is coming into the spot light heavily this season with some mega stars , it has gone to his head and sadly it affected him tonight

the first ball is almost the exact goal he scored in Germany with Argentina last week

in the second move Cristiano was on his right free to shoot and he wanted to score

and so barcelona do well in the CL for some inexplicable reason....hmm.....

I think the reason why Higuain missed that chance is because of his goal a week ago with Argentina. It was the same chance and the exact opposite finish on the left side.

wait wait wait...why that "no", i thought i did blame higuain, but gave him some credit beacuse IMO the striker signing policy failed miserably!!! have i left out the blaming part???

well, again...as for tonight, i blame higuain for being higuain. i've said this so many times, his inconsistency in front of the goal pisses me of on a regular basis. scores beauties, misses easy ones. more over, easy ones that are decisive, like tonight.

kaká has been below sealevel all season long. i really didn't expect him to be decisive tonight in any other way than with a possible penalty.

Do you know now why i wanted Momo Diarra to play beside Lass Nando ?

our midfield wouldn't be run over in the second half and we wouldn't lose Guti as a deep lying playmaker

Higuain is to blame , i can't blame a striker on the bench if you want to give time to kaka to adapt u should also give the same time and chances to Benzema

I cannot believe you have turned on Higuain so quickly haha,

You are wanting Benzema to be given the same time as Kaka, Higuain as been lethal, thats why hes not playing...
so quick to turn on your "galacticos"
