but there was no money we could have gotten for eto'o.

I'm sure the accountants see it differently, as will our detractors. but I'm not an accountant or a detractor, so frankly my dears I don't give a damn.

You get +5 internet points for quoting my favorite Corpse bride scene (unless you make reference to Gone with the wind, in that case, no internets for you)

HOW THE FUCK has eto'o got no fucking value?

in 2009 he was easily amongst the top 5 strikers in the world, every club that could afford him, would have been interested. In is only in your opinion that no club would have gone in for him except city - you cannot prove this.

So are you telling me Juve, AC, Bayern, Arsenal, Chelsea, Spurs, City etc would not have paid £20 - £30m?? had they had the cash, city excluded? then sorry but they'd snap Eto'o up in a second.

So when you say there was no money you could have gotten for eto'o then that is a major misjudgment by you. You easily would have had offers from him, were he in the £20m price range - easily.

what makes you think Eto'o would've agreed to sign for any of those clubs, assuming they were even capable of meeting his wage demands. Arsenal, juve, spurs and M.City are out as they did not have the monetary power and/or the competitive squad Etoo wanted. Milan's offer was a laughable 15 million euros and chelsea showed little interest.

Like Meta said, the moment Eto'o turned down City, it was all over. Very few teams could've provided what Eto'o wanted, and none of them seem interested. It was either keep him and watch him sign for a new club 6 months later or include him in the Ibra deal.

Financially speaking, the Ibra deal cost a total of 69 million euros (49 + Etoo), but since we had no way to cash in Eto'o for money and his value would drop down to zero 6 months down the line, the Ibra transfer did not really cost us 69.

Well you paid 120 Million last summer , bet on Ibra so if you failed it will be more or less the same

there is THIN LINE here Beast, and you are almost "thinly" close too.

however, keep a clear contrast: Maintaining a squad vs Replacing a squad - to compete.
Yes, had we competed on a Zlatan bid and not secured him for the contract, we would have failed on that occasion, to take him. (which in this case is otherwise). Again, had we kept a performance record on his immediate adaptation to La Liga as poor, we would have failed to asses him properly as well (which in this case..again is otherwise).

My point is: the milestones we are working toward are dissimilar to RMA. RMA want to eat spaghetti carbonara by cooking a 2 minute noodle pack and still hoping to taste the pancetta flavour. We are just glad to make and it cook it ourselves. This is the contrast.
Moreso, we are successful with Zlatan. (99 million - where are your adding the 21 million from..?).. 14 goals in all competitions this season is fairly progressive.

Finally, we can safely conclude that the price tag will (in time) prove the worth of it all on a 5 year contract with us.

But you didn't ask for 20 Million for Eto'o , which makes this ^^ theory flawed or incomplete.
you wanted 30 (or was it 35 Mil ) and for a striker with one year left in his contract is laughable .
I'm sure many teams would have shown Interest if the offer was reasonable like 20ish
and that's Eddie point

Milan Lab from what i've read and heard in the past sounds nothing short of amazing. Always admired Milans training and medical facilities. However it was co-founded by Jean-Pierre Meersseman and he is belgian and they are evil...

I wouldn't be too critical Gio, as Real Madrid city is entirely based on the Milanello + Lab model, I think it was even you that posted the article saying so.

Yes our state of the art medical center is in on par with Milanelo lab but until we can give Kaka some strange pills to make him good again your lab actions is suspicious :p
