two things to add
Meta Valdano isn't an advisor , he is the club general manager and managing director . the advisor is Zidane so Valdano has full official power and accountability

Choco : Del Bosque was part of Sanz era and continued to be in charge during Perez era
I also explained the reason for buying stars this season as we cannot let Barcelona dominate the scene by waiting for the young guns to grow , quick solutions was needed .

it's a NORMAL procedure between the two sides , same way Laporta bought several players when he took over (even though he had a good basis for the team but he needed to reach the top quickly ) .

you will never see Barca or Real say "Fuck it " we will wait till the kids grow let the other dominate for 5-6 years , never happened and won't happen

In principle you're right with what you say in the last sentence but I'd dispute 1) the difference in spending policy between Laporta in year 1 and Perez upon his return & 2) the quality of your kids.

There's never been a galáctico policy at Barça, there's no denying that we spent heavily in first two years of the Laporta era but remember that he inherited a side that finished 6th in 2003 so the need for an an overhaul was clear given the players there.

In 2003 we already knew that Puyol, Xavi, Valdes and to a lesser extent Iniesta could form the basis of a team, there is no such guarantee with your youngsters as demonstrated by their near total absence from the first team once again this season.

I'm not disagreeing on what you are saying CA, the basis of the current team remains Iker,Raul,Guti,Lass,Ramos,Pepe,Higuain,Marcelo ..half of them are way older than the likes of Puyol,Xavi..etc when Laporta took especially the captains.
there is also the gap in generation between Raul-Guti and the rest (i'll even throw Iker in the mix ) , when Dinho and co joined they were more or less in the same age zone was Puyol ,Xavi and co

And of course the spending is different but it also have to do with the different in players prices from 2003 and 2010

Well if you don't give your youth players a run in the team, you shall never really find out how good or not they can be. Nothing - not reserve, youth team or going out on loan - is like first team football for a player.

But in real's position and many top clubs they can ill afford to do this.

You got to hand it to Pellegrini , after what Kaka did and apologizing to Manu the next day now Kaka is now "injured"
(probably similar to Guti injury after Alco game ) and he will not play vs Valladolid

According to Marca survey on who the fans want out it seems their plan to push Higuain out is yet a big failure the most votes went to (in order highest votes )

1- Metzelder
2- Gago
3- Momo Diarra
4- Drenthe
5- Raul
6- Dudek

quite a surprise people want Raul to leave more than they want Dudek

well dudek is just a backup keeper no need to get rid of him. raul will retire anyway, i think drenthe has done surprisingly well at times.. gago though has been crap and drenthe is on the whole poor..

metzelder is solid when called upon though. the person you really need to offload is marcelo.

Marcelo already has an approval rate of 60% you are crazy ..and he is doing a great job

the lowest "Ok " he can continue was Guti 52 % followed Adan 58 % , Marcelo 60% Benzema 68 % for the record Kaka didn't score high just 70% below the likes of Granero & VDV

Sport produced a list of 7 "blacklisted" madrid players who will be out on their ear come the end of the season: Guti, Metzelder, Raul, Dudek, Gago, Drenthe and Diarra

Marcelo is still very young and in the past, has proved to be a very good player when called apon and on the whole a very good squad player, he's definitely not the player Real want to get rid of if they know what's good for them.

Not surprised by that list as a whole, but Diarra is a strange one, being so high up, he has been troubled by injury and especially before his problems, he was one of Real's key players. How's he doing now? haven't heard much about him this season.

he cant mark a player out of a game. what he should be doing to provide the balance if ramos is doing the attacking on the other side. so arbeloa should play in his position.

and there are better fullbacks out there who can mark players out of a game. unless they want marcelo as a backup.

Diarra post-injury is an entirely different player. Compare his performances these days to the player that bullied our midfield out of the game at Camp Nou in 2008. On the issue of Marcelo, I actually rate him as a wide midfielder but as a fullback he's a joke.

similar to Marca report only Guti is added to the list i mentioned probably cause he barely made it .
I don't think anyone has a problem with the names though .

For Diarra as CA mentioned plus there is doubts about his knees , cut your loses now
agree about Marcelo it's only Hammy

he is a non stop working player , he is a very useful squad player and one of the highest assist in the squad as well .his performance as a LM is better than a LB .. and totally agree about Diarra though i love Momo
