Anxiously waiting for the next match
Guti has announced he will be leaving Real Madrid in the summer and Saturday will be his last classico .

Guti will be looking to enjoy an extra 2 years in a different league and different culture

Guuted man my fav madrid player ever (not argentine that is)

Well who knows he can go to River or Lanus ;)

I feel Guti will move to England though but i prefer he moves to Serie A especially one of the Milanese clubs

Is his contract up or would there be a fee?

His contract still has another year (or two ) but we wouldn't charge anything for Guti the same way we did with old Madrid heroes so we will probably let him move to whatever club he likes to play in (same with Salgado )

It's possible he can be in Milan then. I would have hated the idea even 6 months ago, but since I saw the Robinson programme about him my opinion of his character changed completely. He has all the technique required to do well in Serie A still, and he plays in an area we really need options for. Wouldn't be against it at all.

But the lure of a golden good bye in England may be too strong.

No one can dispute Guti talents , he is one of the best passers in the game and he can cut any sort of defense in two

Guti problem was always his strange /moody character , if you can get him to be in the mood you will have one hell of a brilliant playmaker .

and Guti is 10 X effective coming from the bench , he always had this weird ability to read the game better than anyone from the bench he always change any game if he come as a sub

I'm not sure his attitude on the pitch would be so much of a problem at Milan. Its a more experienced squad with players that are more familiar with each other, it could be a more calming environment. But from the interview what really came across is how much he really cares about Madrid, to a fanatical level. More so than even Raul I would say as he seems more concerned with himself than Guti does. But then I guess it could be a case that out of Madrid he is a far less effective player without that burning desire for the club.

Would be worth it alone if he repeated that Roma gol though. :D

You are kinda of right in your analysis , Guti joined Madrid as a kid and he breath the club in every sense .
but like Raul he could've used a change in his career , maybe the atmosphere in Milan would be better but i'm not sure after Maldini retired

Guti in Milan? Are you kidding Pippo? Milan needs young blood not another oldie.

Milan need quality in midfield/attack, and don't have alot of money. I'm more than happy to take a player of that abbility for little money and use what money will be available on younger players in other areas, mainly defence.

Well Eddie , Milan has first option on all RM players based on the mutual first option agreement signed last summer so unless Guti wants Liverpool Milan has an upper hand in terms of club relations
