yes a chelsea goal would have hurt them - but chelsea never once looked like scoring in that game. it wasn't meaningless but it wasn't crucial either (like eto'o's efforts vs. lyon and bayern for us last season).
and what are you on, eto'o has a fantastic rapport with the fans and has just had a row with the management! it's the same situation, except eto'o hasn't led his team to the final. but as I said, he will score there so it's likely we'll have egg on our faces eventually, just not yet. lol.
as for felipao, I'm only saying him because of his portfolio (world cup, 2x copa libertadores, etc.) and his rapport with your two big money signings. yeah his chelsea project failed, but that's because he wasn't given the players he wanted (specifically robinho) and was without essien for most of his time there and drogba was out of sorts. he revitalised malouda (who flopped under jose) and improved cashley too.
pellegrini continuing would be very surprising considering alcorcon, lyon, and being done twice in the clasicos. but it could be a SENSIBLE choice.
