You really think Mourinho would play Garay, Meta? He seems so light weight for a Mourinho defence, good passing and potentially awareness I can see in his play. But he is far from the strong and tackle type that Morinho always favours. I would have thought he'd be one of the first out, especially as Pepe will be back.

Interesting certainly, Inter relied alot on him to score this season - where Eto'o didn't deliver as expected. If he leaves it will require a similarly fantastic transfer as Milito has been, or Eto'o becomes a bit more clinical up front.

Not always no, Inter played 4-4-2 in Serie A several match ends, and Eto'o still didn't get a total as was expected of him. Pandev and Sneijder also got good stats from deeper positions.

And i'm not one, like many here, that say Eto'o has been bad for Inter, he has actually been good. But there is no doubt that without Milito threat Inter don't look nearly as clinical in the attack.

I wouldn't say so, no. He lacked numbers in gols and assists - considering his wider role. But his workrate alone opened up many teams for Inter, and his willingness to come back made Inters total lock down defending work.

garay is a tricky one, I just think he'll need a "smart" CB in there. I mean at chelsea he had carvalho and at inter had lucio. he always plays two thug CB's but one has to have skills. albiol doesn't have skills. actually now that I'm saying the words I see how pepe is a perfect fit. so yeah, pepe and ramos.

david silva? xabi alonso? not both in the same midfield. tbh xabi's not much of a jose player at all. I see him having an eidur/stankovic role at the club under mourinho. silva is completely not a josé player either. sneijder may be a bit of a softie but he's a complete bastard, plus inter desperately needed an AM, reial already have one: kaka.

and kaka won't play in the forward-line either because 1. he sucks there and 2. too much work required of wide-boys in josé's setup.

it'll be 433 with kaka in the hole, djila and then either lass or a new DM alongside him.

well, i'm not sure about higuain...but it sure feels like pérez is cleaning out the closet. first robben & sneijder, now on for the other calderon boys. calderon did the same when he took over. "same procedure as every year james"

i'm almost certain ribéry will renew with bayern...even though i have to admit, with mourinho arriving at madrid, this could attrack some big players. or at least make them think things over again. like ribéry. i doubt it though...still

one thing i'm actually really curious about with regards to mourinho is to see, what he can do with an offensive squad like the one he is about to take over and combined with that, if he changes his style of play to suit real madrids philosophie and expectations. right now i'd say he does not have the players to make this real play defensively. will be interesting to see what he'll do.

i just hope this doesn't mean the end the spanish flavor and the youthening of the squad (maicon & milito are no spring chickens).

mourinho is an egoist, he will take his own philosophy which is organised defensive play with direct attacking. and parking the bus in big games and playing hoofball to an epic target man.

he may make subtle variations, but he won't change his steez.

mourinho is not stupid meta...he knows what the bernabeu/madridistas demand in terms of football. i'm also certain he know what kind of treatment don fabio got winning la liga after how many trophyless years???!!! trophies are not enough, he knows that and his ego - as you say - will not permit he's being labled a failure at real madrid after one season because of non beautifull football.

therfore, it's either adjust the thinking or wave good bye after 1 season, 2 the most.
